If youre in the 11's and running stock turbo....
I'm almost positive I'll hit 11's the next time out...I just haven't gotten the tune done for the new mods. Here's the performance parts I've added to the stock turbo...
GSC 264/264 cams (if you don't have these...GET THEM!)
Injen intake with upper i/c piping
Walbro fuel pump
10.5 Hotside
Tubular Header
3" o2 housing
3" downpipe, high-flow cat, cat-back
Greddy profec-b EBC
Nology Hotwires, 1 step colder iridium plugs
MR diverter valve
ACT street clutch kit
TurboTrix flash/tune
Parts on the way: Lower i/c piping, 680cc injectors, SS clutch line, AEM fuel rail, new tires

I did it once last fall with the stock 03 turbo.
1.712 (off my normal times by .05)
4.972
7.672
91.37
9.975
11.950
114.18
bogged the launch just a little...normal 1-2 shift powershift 2-3 3-4
22psi dropping to 20 by 7000rpm
116 sunoco racegas
3" VRS turboback exhaust with testpipe
2.5" cold air intake (air filter where the stock ic sprayer tank was)
AEM EMS speed density, AEM wideband, Autometer boost gauge
ACT clutch
Walbro 255 pump
Hallman es manual boost controller
1g DSM bov
all the ususal...same mods as last week, with the addition of a spearco "drop in" FMIC core. The info on the logs shows that the FMIC core wasn't doing shat. Intake temps after the intercooler are 15-20* hotter than with the stock FMIC. It was colder tonight than on sunday last week and I was running the same boost pressure. IMHO an intercooler upgrade on an evo8 is completely worthless on the stock turbo..atleast in cool fall weather.

I agree with you on the intake temps being the same or maybe even a little warmer... I dont know but I can easily see it happening with the stock turbo. The one thing i did notice when I switched the IC when I had the stock turbo was the spool up was increased by a decent amount. Maybe it was all in my head as I have no logs but it really seemed to make a big difference.

Also how does one go about getting 1.7, 1.6 60 ft times without breaking the car??

Also curious how you're good enough to cut a low 1.6x 60', but unable to hit 11s on 117mph. 12.09@117 indicates a 1.9 or 2.0 60' or a completely missed shift. With a 1.62 60', you would expect a 11.6 or 11.7 at that mph...
This means that with TBE/Intake/MBC/Fuel Pump/Cam Gears/Ecu+, you gained 150whp over stock. That's the sort of thing legends are made of...you should be out there making tons of money, because no tuner I know of can mimic that.

Was it 40 degrees out and a 90mph tailwind? How many other 117's have you had? 91 in @ 660 was the best then getting to 117 on a stock turbo and ecu - cams seems pretty amazing!
I have run three times (with cams and stock FMIC) to 118.1, 118.4, 118.7 mph. The 1/8 mile MPH were 89.1 to 89.4 mph on those runs. The best time that night was 12.24@ 118.4 mph. It was about 45 degrees on a slick track. My 60' time was 1.859 on the 12.24 run. I was picking up about 29 mph from the 1/8 mile traps to the end of the 1/4 mile.
The 117 mph run was definitely a strong run for no cams. Did you have cam gears at that time?

Brian, have you run 118+ at tracks other than Rockingham? I haven't read enough of your threads to know for sure. If these MPHs are at a different track, then disregard, but I think I recall you saying these were at Rockingham...
Oh, I almost forgot. Gaining 29mph in the back half on a stock turbo is INSANO!! Wow, that's gotta feel like a raped ape, because that's the sort of stuff GT35Rs do. I was hitting the same 1/8th-mile MPH as you (88.6-89.5) on my little set of mods, but I was only gaining 22-23 in the back half...
