getting there now!!! 10s here we come!

Took the car to the track again still below max boost by about 2 psi . Bad 1.77 60ft still went 11.32 at 125.4 then we ran a best trap of 126.4 mph again at same boost....we ran prolly 6 11.3's . That was all bad 60fts cause we upped the tire pressure to 50psi to keep it from breaking the car (rather spin a lot then break a little especially before the shootout). So my goal of 10s with stock intake manifold , stock throttle body , stock compete motor besides cams and headbolts, 94 octane and meth should be a few psi and another hundred rpms away ... (we had upped the rev to 8300rpms ) to get to the 126.5 mph since i have lower diameter 255 40 17s... It looks good though and now that my triple disc exedy is broken in i can actually slip it a bit.

awesome numbers! you were my inspiration for a killer set up from pump gas and alky. i was going the same route as you, but now i had to change my plans since the elevation where i live is around 7000ft above sea level, so i would get horrible lag, therefore the 35r would be useless and instead i have to go with the new buschur 20g. your car must be a blast to drive with all that power. good luck getting into the 10s!

yep....i am running stock head right now... i rev to 8300 rev limiter and am going to up it to 8400 . I have to since the rolling diamter of my 255 40 17s is lower therefore i get less trap speed outta the same rpm as guys running 235 45 17s or whatever.... btw with my setup and 8300 rev limit ( 8100 soft ignition and 8300 fuel) i do 126.5 at the bounce.

I need to get al to raise my limit, I made one half assed pass on the new turbo and hit 121, I know it has at least 1 or 2 mph left if I leave hard and powershift.

Nice job. I have the same problem with having a stock head, so I don't want to rev much higher than you are. 126 with 8300 rpm damn... I was hoping that was more like 128. Oh well 8400 it is then. I hope I don't float the valves too much.

keep in mind as i said above my tire diameter is lower then most people cause i have 255 40 17s.... so if you have a 235 45 17 you will do about 128 on the button at 8300.
