Misfiring at the end of the track will be typical when the MAF and cam sensor take a ****. I don't think he Blew the engine. Simple scope in the engine bore and compression test will tell you that. If he needs any help with parts we will do anything we can to help. I have a ton of stuff on the shelf we can send him to get him back and running very quickly.
Good luck
Good luck
Hi,
I just talked to the guy that blew the engine. The damage was severe. At the time I posted this topic here there was a lot of superficial damage done to the car but actuallyeven the pistons were splitted in half.
The owner of the car is getting a stroker kit and plans to get NOS again. He was explaining me that the solenoid was stuck open and it was putting NOS into the system when he let off the gas conseuqently he had a back fire explosion which went all the way back to the intercooler and destroyed everything on the path.

i bet he was using a NOS kit and not Nitrous Express... all the NOS solenoids tend to do that.. if you leave pressure in the solenoids, it breaks the seals down.... it happened to a few friends of mine..
purge kit = saves solenoids...
Carlos, ime afraid thats not what happend. The fuel solenoid was plumbed into the fuel return line. By not getting enough fuel pressure, his car ran lean and burned a piston due to detonation. A piece of piston more than likely held a valve open and igniten the intake. Also the lack of fuel pressure would have not let the fuel atomize and could have ran down the intake into the intercooler. NX recommends the nozzle be 6" from the throttle body. His was way more. Like 18" plus or minus. This was an expensive lesson and i doubt he will run it again. I could be wrong, but i doubt it. (hows your car running??)
Well,
Thanks for the clarification Ray, I think you are the one that opened his engine up right?. I did not uderstood the full explanation that Scott told me when he blew up his engine, you know me man!! I am Spaniard so I don't understand 100% english.
By the way, when can you do my Header?
PJ ran a 12.43@107.9 last night at SIR, I was very impressed, I told him.
My car is running good but after seing Edwinds MR dyno with similar mods as mine I am starting to think that I should get a re-tune for 93Oct.
My car smokes black smoke like crazy.... but other than that runs good

It is silly to run Nitrous if your not tuned for it. You will grenade the engine quickly. Lesson learned I guess, expensive one though.
