Buschur Race Chip Results
Well I recieved my BR Race Chip today. So I headed out to the track to test it out. Just some fyi, last time I was at the track I pulled three runs in a row at 13.2 102mph 1.7 60ft (100oct 23psi) I could not get a better time!
So anyway I got to the track and here are the times:
1st- 2.08 60ft 13.78 101.68
2nd- 1.85 13.27 ???
3rd- 1.74 12.97 104.48 <--fastest trap I ever got.
These runs were on 100oct 22.5psi.
So I guess this little chip worked. Big
to buschur. Thanks!

well this should certainly quell the slaughter that your constantly getting from people about being a "buschur hater" or whatever they call you. maybe people will realize that when u get a product that y ou like, and that works for YOU, you support that product. maybe people will settle down now.

But also look at the trap speeds. 104.4, which i've never gotten before. Al said the chip makes a difference in 4-5, so 4th for the track obviously.
My 1/8mile was 79.9mph, so I actually did pick up power through 4th.
The 13.27 run my 1/8mile was 80.3mph, so...?

I ran the race chip last weekend and picked up 0mph. I did two runs without it and two runs with it and no difference. Im gonna try it one more time. My best trap without the chip is 116.65 and with it 116.0. Im gonna run it all day the next time I hit the track.
THe chip will help you get a more consistent time. I don't think it will help you lower your time. All it does is prevent the coolant temperature from going above a threshold that the ECU will richen up the A\F. If everytime you ran your car with the temperature below the temperature threshold the chip will do nothing for you.

That's a great point. Just because you are drag racing doesn't mean that during the 12 or so second pass that the coolant will be at or above the threshold.
If there were no lines in the staging area and it was warm/hot temperatures I think one would definitely notice a difference.
Last night for BBYBruno and myself at the track the air temps were nice and cool >70F and we had ample cool down time in the staging lanes.
