1/8 Mile Results

Last Night I went out to test my new setup. Here are the details

1.9031 60
5.4222 330
7.7913 594
8.3163 1/8
85.70 MPH

Best 60 was 1.8911 (that was on a 8.36 run at 83.53)

It was about 65 degrees out, pretty good weather, I got a lot of runs in (about 10-12) I am still on the stock clutch which was holding pretty good I must say. Mods are Injen Intake, Manual Boost Controller, TBE, Greddy Type S, Tein S Techs and SAFC.

You should be able to run 7.9's and 8.0's trapping 85 mph. Work on the 60fts. and you'll be set.

Not bad, I've got the same mods and I pulled a 8.8@81.7MPH when I rolled off the line with a 2.4 60ft. I'd be interested to see what I could hit with a 1.9 60ft or better

Good mph. The times are irrelevant, because it's just bad driving that can be improved. The important part is that you almost hit 86mph, which means you were making great power. The only problem is you need to do a full 1/4 to see if that power continues in 4th or if it drops off. You could trap anywhere from 106 to 110 depending on how good your tune is and whether or not you knock in 4th due to overboost or being too lean. Let us know when you do a full track...

what launch technique are you using?, cuttion your 60' will gain you at least 3 mph in the 1/8 and sub 7. run.

Only issue is there arent any in this area, this is all we have. We were playing with the AFC a little which helped when the car was cold and hurt when it was warm. I am still working on the launch, this is the best I have personally done though. Car is definitely strong.

the better the 60 foot time the more your trap speed will decrease.

i ran 8.1 @ 85 with a 1.6 60 foot. you've done pretty good.

your 1/4 mile will probably be a very very low 13 or a very very high 12 @ about 105.

are u using the stock 2 step? i hooked mine back up and and lowered my tire preasure to about 27-28 in both front and rear and and was able to get 1.70-1.72 all day my last time out. give 1/2 gas till it starts bouncing at 5k and let the clutch out most of way. hold it there till your ready and bam! and gas it. to each there own. this works for me so far.

No way, not at all. 3 mph is a HUGE gain in just the 1/8th, and that won't happen going from a 1.90 to a 1.75. In fact, you usually get lower mph with a great 60', but it all depends on if you're spinnig, bogging or missing the 1-2 shift. The other night when I ran my 12.01 at 111.7, that was on a 1.66 60'. I later had 2 bad runs where I spun through first en route to 1.89 60's, but I trapped higher both times in both the 1/8th and 1/4 with 91.3mph/113.7mph instead of 90/111.7. It all depends really, but he won't gain 3mph in the 1/8th, that's for sure.

No way to even guess, since you didn't bother to launch. Something as awful as a 2.4 means you just kinda rolled off the line, which severely affects ET and MPH. If you really only made enough power to hit 82mph in the 1/8th, then I would predict a 13.0, but you probably are making enough power to hit 84-85 in the 1/8th, which could be good enough for a 12.6-12.8 depending on your driving. A 1.9 60' won't cut it, though...

I rolled off the line with the 2.460ft and still ran a 13.5@105. I'm trying to figure out what i'd run with a good launch like 1.7-1.8.

Go launch and find out. There's no reason to speculate.
