Times got worse this weekend

an update to this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=161309. My times were worse this time around. The first run of the day was against my cousin's stock STI. Boy, did I kick some butt. He ran a 13.7 while I ran a 15.3, no excuses just a bad driver w/ bad launch. The video is currently being optimized on Streetfire, I'll post the video when it's available.

The second run was a 14.001, the 3rd was a 14.91, the forth was a 14.23 the fifth was a 14.59(driven by another evo owner) and finally the last one of the day racing in the low 14 bracket I ran a 13.732. My goal for going out to the track was to break into the 13's, even if it was a 13.999. I know it's pathetic to for a Evo to run 14's but hey, you learn as you go. The pros gotta start somewhere.. j/k

THe first five runs were on a 5K launch with shifting at 7200-7500 RPMS. The last one, I gave it all I got. Launched at 6K and shifted at 7K rpm on 1st, then 7200 RPM on the rest. Man, another pathetic thing, I was screaming in the car quietly to myself when I grabbed that time slip and saw the 13.7xx time.

All and all I accomplished my goal, but it did suck to see my cousin in the STI run consistent 13.7's with his first time at the track and only owning a AWD car for 1 month. He is a better driver, I'm sure he would've gotten better times than I could in my Evo.

It was a good day, weather was crisp and cool and I met another fellow member: Evil_1. His best time of the day that I saw was a 13.19. Not too bad... I learned a few things from him and I think we built a good relationship. Will definitely keep and touch and hang out at the track.

Just keep at it, you'll get there. Practice makes perfect. I've racked up bout 80 timeslips since I got the car this time last year.

Why did you title this thread as you did, when you actually ran your fastest times?
