Tell your co-worker that his Hyun"gay" Tiburon can leak the Evo ball$.Cmon, what kind of crap is your co-worker talking about?, that is the typical guy that talks a lot of smack and never gets to buy anything.

Disregard his silly jellaous comments

Just let him buy it and when he tries to race you see if you can get him to place a bet on it

well, that's no Tiburon (see my post above for '07 specs), but that thing actually looks pretty good except the very front of it:

"Korean Proto Motors’ Spirra was shown at the Seoul Motor Show yesterday and promises to offer high-performance in a mid-engined package. The car that will appear on Korean roads this fall is powered by a 4.6-liter V-8 and makes 320 horsepower. We couldn’t find any pictures of the motor, but that sounds awfully like a Ford engine we all know. Proto wants to expand the line by adding smaller engines to appeal to a wider group of buyers. The Korean answer to the old MR2s."

Even with 320hp, it will fall behind the Evo... especially the Evo that will be on the roads when (if) that comes out...

he may have been refering to the tiburon rally car specs because i think that car has about 376 hp or so...but half of you guys who are talking smack about hyundai don't even know the facts. the fact is i used to own one, 2001. Yes it was way slower than my evo, but its on a different level. I did a series of bolt on mods to it, eibach suspension, etc. and that car was a blast. and I can truly say that up to the 21k that i owned that car, i had no problems with it, cant say that about my beloved evo

That's true... you can't say anything bad about a company that give you 10yr/100,000 warranty and actually honors it I'm glad you liked your Hyundai. I think most owners would agree that it's a good car, and just fine for it's purpose. They've come a long way... but for them to jump from the current Tiburon to an Evo-Killer in the US just ain't happening.

Hyundai has indeed come a long way, I mean believe me...I , like many of us wouldn't give them a second of our time after the early 90's POS's they came out with, however around 1996 they really turned the company around and i have to stick up for the company after my positive experience

My buddy has a '04 V6 Tiburon and he put a $4000 Vortech supercharger kit on it and the best time he got was a 14.3 and it runs like a bag of crap half the time. Before the blower it ran the 1/4 in 15.8 i believe.

i sell hyundai cars and none of which are comparable to the evo, but they are good cars now. The car in the pic is a concept that they will never build, i know, i already asked my district rep about it. truthfully, the only mitsu i have ever considered is the evo, the rest of their new like is crap....Hyundai on the other hand has come a long way and got some very nice autos for very little $$$$

Take it's place on top of the racing world? Oh please! The Tiburon is a relative rookie when compared to the Evo. I didn't think it was synonymous with racing. The Evo has earned its reputation. Cracks me up when people try to put their cars over the Evo where racing is concerned. The only people that I don't mind ratting on the Evo would be STi owners of course.

its funny that you guys knock hyundai. Some of you fanboys need to actually learn somethging outside the world of your evo and realize that the 4 cyl version of the tiburon is virtually a twin of the 4g63 minus the turbo. Hyundai and mitsu improved on the motor design together.

that being said there's no way the tiburon in it's current form will actually compete on any level with the EVO. I'd know because i had the 03 gt 6 speed before i bought my evo. It was a very reliable car, and it was decently quick with some mods. I went 14.1 @ 95 NA with basic boltons.
