Could you get this car into the 11s?

This goes out to some of you kick *** drivers out EVO drivers out there. Dyno Flash recently did some mild tuning on a IX and had some very impressive results to say the least. I know dyno numbers are sometimes difficult to gauge the results on tracks, but I was just wondering if any of you guys think that you could get this IX into to the 11s if the dyno numbers are absolutely legit.

2006 EVO IX (Dyno Flash)
HKS RS Intake
BR MBC@20PSI (holding 20PSI to redline)
ECUTEK Flash
93 Octane
316HP (Dyno Jet)
315TQ (Dyno Jet)

Same Car (Dyno Flash)
HKS RS Intake
BR MBC@24PSI (holding 23.5PSI to redline)
ECUTEK Flash
93 Octane
325HP (Dyno Jet)
360TQ (Dyno Jet)

Do you think that with some race fuel, more aggressive tuning, and a kick *** driver this IX could possibly hit 11s on stock exhaust, stock down pipe, stock cat? How much more power could you see this IX making? In my opinion more agressive tunning could net an increase of a decent amount of power, also if the turbo is having no problem holding 24PSI-23.5PSI on pump gas, I see no reason why race fuel and 27PSI is not possible? Anyhow, just wondering if any of you experience EVO drivers believe you could possibly get this IX into the 11s going off of this dyno info?

No, I don't think so. 325whp isn't enough. I would need closer to 340-350whp to do it, and I'm not sure how much race gas will help. Race gas itself doesn't do the trick, but rather the addition of more boost and the associated tuning (lean out across the board). On the 325whp run, the 24psi was not knocking, so the race gas wouldn't help immensely unless we end up finding out that this turbo can run 28psi and hold 25-26 to redline while still being efficient. If that's the case, then yeah, I could probably do it, but that's speculation. I think with a TBE on that car above tuned to 24psi on pump gas, I could do it, since that would probably be right at 350whp.

I would say no. If those numbers where on a Mustang Dyno then it would be a different story.

Agree with Warrtalon. It takes about 345-350whp to make 114mph in a full weight evo. you need a mint run with a mid 1.6 to run in the 11's with 114mph.

20whp more, and Id say yes if the driving was perfect.. It would probobly do it with another 2psi of boost and a bit better fuel on the same parts.

I don't think it would be doable either. Maybe with another couple PSI and some VP unleaded.

Yeah that is what I am saying, sorry if what I was asking was hard to understand. I'm saying with race fuel and more boost, more agressive tuning, and a great driver is it possible that this EVO could hit 11s with the same mods? I'm just wondering because that would be quite an achievement if it were at all possible? Still I guess we need to wait and see how much boost the stock turbo can take.

I think there is a good chance I could hit 11's if the EVO 9 turbo was on my car. My turbo will not hold more than 19.5 psi in the higher RPM. It would be great to be able to hold 23.5 psi.

I'm pretty sure you could and that I could unless there was some unforeseen issue when not combined with the MIVEC, but I doubt that would be the case...

I think I can pull it off with a little more boost. Give me a little time, I'll be testing one out shortly
