Jeez Greg, you are becoming quite the launcher and drag racer. LACR is such a slow track that I won't even go there. For you to be cracking out those 11s and 60 foot times is impressive.

Get the Quaife and get back into the game asap.

Shut up Smoggy! U won't go to any track u wimp. I am going to call u Nofaster87(Gofaster Sam is your Brother). Has the set-up to run some awesome times but wussin out.
MasterofDisaster, Good job beating your Slowbras buddies best time but sorry about the diff. Sounds like if u would of stayed into it u might of got kicked out for not havin a cage. Man, if I ever cut a 1.5 60 ft, I know I would of got the boot. Take that 60ft to Fontucky and 11.3s at 123 mph will be yours on a 30R set-up on stock motor. Congrats and keep that White "Snack" (pun intended) your Biiiaaatttccch.

Thanks Smog, but I think you are wrong about LACR. At night, now that it's cold, the difference in ET's may only be 2 tenths. Sure on Wed and Fri night usually no track prep, but street tire Evo's don't need much. Of course I like it because I can get lots of much needed practice. (shifting challenged)

Thanks IE . He retired that slowbra for the Busa, but he's now thinking of bringing it back to put me in my rightful(import) place.
Hey man, your smack talk at the track and backing it up is missed !

Only drive car when going to track because it's ridiculously loud now. 35k total miles . I have 172 runs down the drag strip this year. About 70 since upgrade to AMS 3076 kit. So yeah ,as a daily driver and occasional racer, the Exedy Twin might last a very long time. My 1st one only lasted 165 runs, but I did not slip it fast enough and abused it.

Very nice 60' time!!

It looks like you fell victim to what I have been reading on this board for a while:

03 open front diff + Wheel hop = Busted spider gears or diff

Sorry for the OT question but with this wheel hop behavior, is it real obvious - does the front tires hop and skip or is it a series of loss of traction and tire grabbing as if the tires spin for several rotations then grab, then spin, grab, etc, etc.?

The reason I ask is because when I went to the strip I encounter wheel spin durring launch. I then let my friend drive it down the track and I heard this pulsating spin sound.

Basically, would it be obvious if you get damaging hop or is it masked by spin and you dont realize it till it's too late?

I have a feeling you either get hop, spin, or any combination of the two.

You actually feel the car hopping and vibrating badly on the launch, mostly from the front tires from my experience. You then have to lift immediately. Spinning the tires is not that bad. I've never heard of anybody breaking a transmission or axles from just the spinning tires.
