My STRONG suggestion to you would be to forget whatever notions you previously have of what YOU THINK you should do and listen to people who have spent countess hours testing and reserching all the options.

Fortunately you havnt sunk too much money into useless mods so all hope is not lost. But remember that people like Warrtalon and IE Evo know their stuff and are trying to help you get the most out of your car for the least amount of money, downtime, and aggrivation.

Only get an AEM if you plan on getting a bigger turbo. An AEM will not help you anymore than a good flash or piggyback, unless you tune it to the bitter edge of self destruction and it really only is needed for higher boost levels and larger turbos because of turbulence issues you run into with the MAF sensor. Some larger injectors have problems on the stock ecu too. Personal experience. Having said that my AEM runs decently except it takes a bit to crank it in freezing temps. Keep in mind I had a friend that knows his crap give me my initial tune as well. Once warm the cars runs better than the MAF sensor.

Point being if you stay with the stock turbo stick with the stock ECU and BOV.

ya i gotta say...the amount of time and money i've spent screwing around with my AEM EMS...i would have rather had a flash since im still at stock turbo.

save yourself ....lets see...recommend 3 tunes a year @ around 500 per tune....you do the math....

ITS A MONEY PIT TIL YOU GET "THE GOOD TUNE"

AEM is a pain in tha a$$ ...but once tuned right and with decent supporting mods....you can do amazing things with your evo... unit is well worth the money...make sure you have a competent tuner who specializes in AEM units ....cause you will hate your car if you slap it in and try and go for a drive
