So a friend of mine as you can hear in the background owes the guy taping money because I didn't blow anything I just kept losing traction.

What are your mods? How much whp are you pushing? I had the same problem with my Honda Crx especially since its fwd with lots of horsepower!!!
Holy crap that track sucked lol. That is like me trying to accelerate onto the highway in the morning when there is ice. Right as you get into boost spin like crazy and go sideways... fun when you aren't trying to make good time
It is actually advantageous to have crappy power there hah.

I had a similar experience at Atco in NJ. They have it set up so you can't go around the water. So fwd and awd guys are forced to tread water all over the track and screw things up.
Whenever I start sliding aound, I instantly shut it down and just coast to the traps. There's no sense in trying, since the run is screwed anyway.

I stopped trying to avoid the water a while ago. I just go through it and do a 4-wheel burnout to heat up the tires a little, but mainly to throw off all the water and rocks. It also lets me know how sticky the launch pad is, which then allows me to know what RPM is going to work. If during my 4-wheel burnout, I actually launch forward like a bat out of hell, that tells me that even a 7k launch won't spin. Usually it spins at 7k, but then I launch at 6k just fine. Other times, even 6k spins, so I'd rather find out in the burnout box rather than at the line.
If the wheels are spinning, the t-case isn't breaking. IT's when you dump the clutch and don't spin that you break the t-case. It's always possible when trying to do a 4-wheel burnout, but I always spin at least to some degree.
