My 8th mile times
My 8th mile times *New times*
Went to the 8th mile last night. Only had 4 runs... The first two were getting my launches down. I think I have a real good feel for it now. Here are my two best runs.
RT - .621
60ft - 1.871
ET - 8.415 @ 83.64
--------
RT - .598
60ft - 1.968
ET - 8.419 @ 83.64
Only mods were a K&N panel air filter and an HKS EVC 4 at 20 psi. I dont think the filter did anything, but the boost controller seems to help a lot. I plan to get my exhaust and LICP next week, and it should lower my times a good amount.
I still have to work on my launch a bit to get a good 1.7 - 1.8 60 ft. Could anyone estimate my 1/4 times (warrtalon)? I am going to the 1/4 mile track next Saturday and I would love to get a consistant mid 12 if not better.

What was your 60 ft SterlingEvo? I am launching off the limiter. I am going to take the fuse out next Saturday and try a 5500-6000 RPM launch. I think if I hit a 1.7 60 ft, it should be a low 8.
Here's my slip from that run. The 60' was 1.788 on that particular run.

My stock 1/8th-mile on the first try with a 1.92 60' was an 8.40@80. That run ended up being a 13.17@103.9. You were 3mph faster in the 1/8th wit ha slightly slower ET, so I think you will end up trapping 105-106 and get a 13.0 or low 13.1. With a 1.7x 60', you will be capable of a 12.8-12.9 maybe. Mid-12s? No, not unless your driving improves dramatically along with extra power from somewhere.
When disconnecting the 5k limiter, just disconnect the switch - don't mess with any fuses.

Thanks for the reply guys.
I ran at Qualcomm. Don't like it at all, but whatever, it was mainly for practice. I am sure I can get my launches down better with just a little more practice considering this was the first time out with the Evo. We will see on the 14th.

Ran again tonight... Was a much better night than last time. Ambient air was around 45 or so. Boost set at 20 psi most of the night... They lined me up against a Viper for some reason, set it to 22 psi and hit 8.11 @ 84.74 with a 1.86 60 ft. My very first run was 8.17 @ 86.04 with 20 psi. I'm sure I can hit a decent 12 sec 1/4 mile next time the track is open. I did get a lot of wheel spin this time at almost all my launches. I am launching at the stock rev limiter. I tried unplugging the deal but I couldnt seem to find that 'right' one. Found the one that allows you to start without the clutch in. Pulled the white one above it out, was still hitting 5k RPM. Just ran anyway.
Mods - TBE with high flow cat and 2 resonators, HKS EVC 4, K&N panel air filter, and an AMS lower IC pipe.

Thanks. I cant wait for California Speedway to open again. I still have credit from last week. April is sooooo far away, maybe I can gather 5 people and have Al come out for a reflash.
There's 3 white switches. The first is the clutch start switch, the 2nd is for cruise control (inactive), and the 3rd and hardest to reach is the 5k limiter. It's way at the top right above and behind the fuse box. You can also get to it by pulling down the panel right by your left knee that has the light dimmer switch.
Pogo seen you last night, Looked like fun, I still have the rev limiter, I was going to ask you about it, But, You looked busy
, Were you just bouncing it off the limiter? Wish I knew you could break the wheels i would have got in line.
