New times! UNTUNED

Stupid track got rained out after my second run!

Run 1 the track was super cold and had no traction so I was sliding all over the place. Run 2 It was geting warmer but it was still a little slick and I was hoping to get another run in with a little more boost after the track warmed up.

Run 1
Quick spike to 20.5 settled to 19.5 psi and droping to 16-17psi by 7k rpm. 100 oct mixed with 91 oct
60' ... 2.040
330 ... 5.446
1/8 ... 8.242
MPH .... 84.75
1000 ..... 10.660
1/4 ..... 12.677
MPH ..... 112.22

Run 2
Same as above. This run was right after the first about a 15-20min cool down. I think this is why the mph didnt pick up over the other run.
60' ... 1.807
330 ... 5.156
1/8 .... 7.927
MPH .... 85.67
1000 .... 10.332
1/4 ...... 12.340
MPH ..... 112.71

I think the 100 oct mix hurt me rather then helped. My 1/8th mile times went up and my mph went down from last time out at perris on straight 91 oct. Now keep in mind I have nothing tuning my car NO AFC NO ECU FLASH NOTHING!
My Setup:

Boost controller
K & N drop in filter
IX BOV
Megan Racing TBE
HKS 272's

Everything else is stock.... no fuel pump, no injectors, no flash nothing!

I met alot of cool guys this time out and I will see you guys in 3 months > . Also for the guy that got me on video in the white IX can you post the video or email it to me please

Well congrats on your new times and traps, you have one very strong EVO there. I can't believe you are running such fast times untuned, the EVO always does something new that amazes me.

Who is doing the tuning on your AEM EMS? Are you sure it is really needed for the stock turbo, I mean it's only as good as the tuner that tunes it and a stand alone can cause as much grief as it can cause pleasure. Be careful.

Seems like way too much boost fall off for AEM.

I agree, there is not an AEM equipped car that runs like ours on the factory ECU w/ piggyback.

Sean Ivey himself (the authority in AEM tuning) is the closest there is. He is both a good driver and tuner.

Ive been through the whole piggyback setup and its not for me. I have had a dsmlink and Aem ems in my Gsx so I know what to expect. Also the car wont have a stock turbo for ever it will have a Gt35r. I will setup the base map (hybrid boost comp) and get it to the dyno for TT or Scott Grey to tune it. I will soon have the boost fall off fixed by ditching the EBC in favor of the GM solenoid.

The white one you saw I think ran a 13.02 @ 112 or something like that. My car is silver and looks stock other than the exhuast.

Congratulations on your runs. Those 272's are working really well for you. How is your idle with no tune? I wanted to race so bad, but had to work that day. I hope to be there in April if they are able to complete the new track by then.

So your car was faster using 91? What was the ET and the trap speed?
