well its another 10g's then i paid for mine and upgrades are more expensive eventhough i wouldn't have to upgrade as much to get better times. It was more about the car payment and insurance that i had issues with when i was in the market for a car. I'm to deep into this car now to abandon it.

 

Well technically you wouldnt need to mod the Evo at all to be faster than your RSX

I kinda agree... this is worthless. A vid of a bracket race of cars running 13s AWESOME!

 

i would need to mod an Evo to beat my car now... i dont see any stock evo's running 12.7's or better. stock Evo can beat up on pretty much all n/a RSX's no problem, but not turbo RSX's. anyways... i'm not here to say my car is faster or yours is faster. i just had a vid of me running a very consistent Evo and thought i'd post it on here.

 

A consistantly slow Evo is nothing to brag about. And one of my friends has a dynoflash tune, a clutch (He burnt his up) and a catback (Still has the cat on the car) and he runs 12.07-12.1s I would think his all in all was less than a grand of mods.

And yes, since you brought it up.. my car is consistantly faster.. in fact when mines breaks its still faster.

 

I can respect the man for posting a vid of his honda beating an Evo in a bracket race.

But you can't blame everyone for bustin' yer *****.

What did you expect when you posted this vid on an Evo site? People are taking it like you are coming out from no where and slappin' them in the face because your car beat an Evo in a drag race. That's like going into the hood and screamin' the "N" word at everyone!

I still dont think you get it. A BRACKET race means nothing. Your car didnt beat him... your dialin time and reaction time did. His CAR beat yours. It was a faster pass. Most people dont really care if they beat someone in a bracket race, they brag about how fast a pass they made. Not because they beat someone in a bracket race. An automatic Ford Taurus rules at bracket racing... but most people dont post vids of how cool thier unmodified Ford Taurus is now do they?

And just because your car is slower than crap stock and you made it run high 12s isnt going to impress anyone that matters. A high 12 second pass is slow to anyone... doesnt matter the car. If you start running 10s then go throw your timeslip and movies around.. then people wouldnt burn on you so much. But showing a vid of 2 13 seconds cars is not going to get you any good attention (And if it does its kinda sad).

Im glad you seem to be a respectable kid and i am coming off as a dik but sorry.... dont strut your 13 second pass and hope anyone will be impressed... at least not on an Evo forum. And one other piece of advice, dont post vids of bracket races and pretend that your car beat another one... it has nothing at all to do with the car. A 16-17 second car will ALWAYS be easier to bracket race than a 10 or 11 second car.

rsx isnt a bad car, my friend has one. its fun, but its not a fun as an evo! Ive driven a lot of nice cars, and the evo on the curves with turbo and awd is a unique experience on in itself! not a bad job though, but real "racers" take it to the curves!

fyi... i didn't post that vid to gloat that i beat him, i posted it cause it was an awesome race, so close i didn't know who won till i got my timeslip. plus... any true drag racer will tell you how hard it is to be able to bracket race with a standard car that runs in the 12's and faster. Its not easy to be consistent with a fast car especially when you go up against these 16-18 sec automatics.

Like i said, most people on in this forum that drag race care alot more about the ET than the RT. Bracket racing has absolutely nothing to do with how powerful the car is or how great of a driver you are. It just means the driver is consistant (Could be consistantly crappy). And to make consistant passes with a 12 second manual is not that tough... its when you start dippin into the mid to low 11s that things get more difficult. You may notice that sometime if you get your car to make any real power. To trap at 110 on a FWD light car means you probably making what.. 280 to the ground? Evos in thier stock form with a catback and a tune will make that easily. Oh well... its obvious you still think its a neat video of two slow cars. It is incredibly boring, uneventful and worthless. Honestly, would me filming a stock Ford Taurus "beating" an RSX in a bracket race really be that intense of a video? Maybe I should go rent a Taurus and go bracket race some Hondas and post them up on your site... You think everyone there will be totally impressed?

 

Listen its obvious you've never done any competitive bracket racing and your just a straight up ignorant person, plus too young for me to even waste my time with. move on.

 

You are dead on nuts... thats why I have two trophies from bracket racing (Because Ive never done it) and Im sure I am much younger than someone driving an RSX Age matters alot in our sport too... somehow I have the knowledge to build and tune a car that makes twice the HP yours does... would it matter if I was 15? Id be even more proud if I was!

And ignorant would be me going on another car forum and showing off how fast I was when I ran a slower ET than the car I was racing.
