speed question
never been to a drag.
but I was just doing some math, in the quarter mile, a ten second run has an average of 90 miles an hour(give or take a bit).
you guys are quick, what is your 0 to sixty time?

or, actually, now that I read it again, maybe he is talking about that? I don't know. Anyway, a 10 second run has to be pretty much 130+ trap. A few people have done like 124, 127... and 11s is generally 115+ trap. I'm talking up to 11.9. The 9 and 10 second cars are pretty much under 3 seconds 0-60...
For example, the AMS car basically goes 0-120 in 6 seconds over just 1/8th of a mile. That's crazy fast...

Your sitting dead still, a car comes by you at 90 mph and you hammer as soon as it passes. You have to catch that car in exactly 1/4 mile. When you start thinking about it, it takes a DAMN fast car to achieve that. Our shop Evo can catch a car going by at 95.6 mph in exactly a 1/4 mile. Your typical stock Evo can only catch a car doing 65.2 mph. Your typical 17 sec. family car can only catch a car doing 52 mph.
Think about those numbers if you were a cop that wanted the perfect chase vehicle.
