i beat a stock cobra....there pretty fast....but i gotta give it up to the new gt's they are nice and fun to drive....it was my 3rd choice of car...my 2nd was a 550i bmw...the thing about the mustang though...its soooooo eaassssy to drive and launch i think it would get boring pretty quick..with the evo im always practicing and perfecting i look forward to going nuts with it

Yeah, that is a fairly amusing thread.

 

Funny i guess, most of them have no idea on what they are talking about. Most good evo drivers hit a 1.75 or better. Turbo lag? I guess they missed the part where all the '05+ evos have a 2 stage that builds boost off the line. Oh well, i will never be able to convince a domestic owner that the Evo is an awesome car...until i hand them their ***!

 

Awesome!!! I love hearing what other car owners know and don't know about our cars. Most of them are very ignorant when it comes to our cars.

Surprisingly most of them seem to get the basic idea... From a roll they have a really good chance and from a dig its an evo thats gonna need drivetrain work soon.

 

all those mustangs are talking about spraying to even keep up with a stock evo, a fully modified stang vs. a fully modified evo you cant compare...

 

I think it is good if they are ignorant, good for a surprise attack!

 

i cought a TA at surprize....from a roll....either the LS1 or LT1...still a V8...and he had exhust atleast. now i didt leave him in my trail but he couldt get infront of me..

 

I have ran my buddies 1993 cobra that just has an exhaust and intake. I get him off the line every time. At the time my car was bone stock, and I pulled away from him for a moment, and then he just kinda stayed with me, but he has not been able to pass me yet. Its amazing the technology that is has been made for 4-bangers, compared to the past.

 

those guys seem pretty reasonable to me. couple fanboys but nothing major.
