12.5 @ 109 Ix

Well like last weeks thread, i took the car to the track. This is only my 2nd time at the track. Had lots of fun as usual, and the ending was even funnier. But ill get to that later.
My best run was about:
60: 1.8
1/4: 12.5
MPH: 109

I was having trouble launching today for some reason, and couldnt do anything better then a 1.8. As the night went on, it just got worse and worse, to the point where i was doing 2.0's constantly, and just kept peeling out as i launched. The track just got really bad, everyone was loosing traction.
I had a 91/100 mix. So was probably about 95? Or lower.
Mods are TBE, MBC, Dropin, Ecutek Flash. My MBC is set about 21-22 occassionally. I dynod at 303whp/303tq consistant.

Once again, i didnt have a helmet. *Hides from Warrtalon*
My friend who was suppose to bring a 2nd one for me didnt show up. So i was stuck borrowing helmets from friends. Half the time i didnt have a helmet when i went down the track, and for awhile the old man handing out the slips didnt care. Till finally ran a 12.6, and actually looked at the slip when i didnt have a helmet on.
So he says i cant race again. So instead of being a good boy and listening. I get back in line and race again . Well not to sure what i did, but i think it was a 12.7 or something, notn great. But i didnt bother pickn up my timeslip, just went past him. Hehehehe.
Then as i was gonna get back in line again, all my friends are running towards me yelling dont go, they are looking for you. They even said, "We over heard them saying, if the person in the blue evo comes back again, hes got some big *****."
LOL.
I so wanted to go get back in line and see what they say.

This run before was like a 12.5 border line of 12.6.
I went again to the track today and ran a 12.51 @ 108 with pure 91.

Congrats Cloudy, those are some good numbers specially with just 91OCT. I did not know the track was open today. How were your 60'?
Can you break down your runs for us?

Cloudy, you should start counting your total passes in order to give you an indication of any improvements, I think you are reaching your limits on your current mods, I would say you might improve perhaps a couple of more tenth at the most with current mods.

Also, count that the clutch might fade on you. So far so good, you are demonstrating that you are getting much better, faster..

Thanks!!

Carlos

My 60 was 1.8 all day, except for one goof where i tried doing something different to stop peeling out when i launched, so i got a 1.9 then. But basically everytime i launch i peel out.. idk what iam doing wrong.. I tried slippn the clutch a lil longer and that got me the 1.9 so that cant be it.. When i launch i have the gas half throttle let it build up and slowly get to the launch limiter, then once the tree starts going down, i slowly let out the clutch so i start to bairly roll, then let her rip.
But the break down for the 12.51 @ 108 run is.
60: 1.8
330: 5.2
1/8: 8.0
MPH: 86.7
1000: 10.3
1/4: 12.51
MPH: 108

You got some ***** dude. But I figured you would be running a lot faster then 109MPH 91 Octane or not. What is your Elevation there in AZ?

My Best time was a 12.56 @ 110 but normally my car is 108MPH trapper like yours here at Sea Level. The reason why you are slipping is because you are letting the power out to fast. The way I launch is you let it out a little until the car starts to move then I dump it. This of course is done very fast. With your ECUTEK tune did you reset your launch limiter? If not that that it your issue. Al from Dynosflash I believe sets it at 6200 with is perfect for the stock turbo.

What offer are you talking about, with Warrtalon?
What 60foots do you cut when you feel it grip then dump it ?
Like i said i went again and did a 12.51 @ 108 on pure 91. But i keep peeling out..
Elevation here is about 1500-2000 i believe.

No i didnt change anything with the launch limiter when i got tuned, and iam scared to raise it to 6200 cause its a stock clutch...
And so far the stocker is holdn up good.

Cloudy, I think he was confusing you with Cloud, the jackleg who got banned for 7 days in the thread by HouseDJ where I got challenged to a drag race 850 miles from where I live.
