If you had your same launch from before with the 7.85 1/8th-mile, though, you'd probably have run a high 12.1 or so.
I agree! I am embarrassed with my 60fts. My car just kept slipping on the launch the track prep there was horrible and I needed to re-learn my clutch all things that add up to me running ****ty times.

As far as the back half my check engine light came on right before we pulled into the strip 05whiteEVO8 saw it himself. I think that I'll go to auto zone and see what fault pops up. It might have been pulling timeing which would explain a little??? It is usually a random misfire code!

You always need to remember that launch and 1-2 shift is what makes the pass good or not. Consider one of my times vs. Matt Smith:

Mine 60' 1.719, 1/8th 7.535 @ 94.5, 1/4 11.605 @ 122.08
His 60' 1.702, 1/8th 7.265 @ 99.27, 1/4 11.312 @ 122.87

You can clearly see when he beat me.... his launch was slightly better but the main difference is the 1-2 shift/2-3 shift. Im not sure if I short shifted the hell out of first or the tires spun when I hit second but thats obviously the difference. The cars trapped almost the same, the launches were close. Its the shifting that made a HUGE difference between these runs... think if it made a difference from an 11.6 to a 11.3 from just the first few seconds of the track. The rest of the track doesnt matter... then its whatever the car can do.

Oh and by the way... in those two runs look at how much more power my car makes...

I gained 27.58 mph, he only gained 23.6 mph. So imagine... a much more powerful car, trapping the same and running a slower ET. That should put it into perspective on how much driving actually matters.

That should let people know its alot more than making a powerful car....

time slips

Dude judging by your time slip you have plenty of room for improvement cut those 60's to low 1.7 to high 1.6 hit your shifts and hang on

Yah, so he finished .3s sooner, which is 2-3 car lengths. He shouldn't have been surprised like he was.

I did run some gas for safety but did not change any settings. Just FYI. Still on 22-23PSI as well

Despite the 1.8 60', the ET is still good.

I find it interesting how much difference there is in your 1/8th-mile MPHs and 1/4-mile MPHs. Very weird that you two were so different...
