Montgomery again!!! New best 1/4 mile time!!!

After chatting w/ Warrtalon through PMs I learned a lot about tire pressures and a whole lot more. I changed my OEM injectors w/ new OEM injectors (they had 16k miles on them) and were pretty messed up. I also messed with my SB-id EBC which before wouldn't boost more than 23-24lbs. It hit 26.1 and tappered down to 25.3 steady.

The results were:

R/T -.099
60' 1.672
330 4.945
1/8 7.701
MPH 90.08
1/4 12.073
MPH 115.07

I know that some people have beef w/ Warrtalon but he has been great to me. Warrtalon thanks a million. The trip this time was well worth it, 3 hours to get there, 3 runs and 3 hours to get back, all in the same night! BTW, what is the best documented time on the 9.8 hot side??? Just curious if I am close. Also, I will be looking into the set-up that we talked about now that I feel I have just about run as good as my current mods will do( 10.5/O2 Housing/Ported OEM Header)! With all of that the 11's will come easy...

Jeremiah or 05whiteEVO8 also ran a new personal best tonight and his car was very strong. He will post his times in the morning.

There was also a 3rd White EVO VIII there tonight too and that guy was great. He is close to stock but was running very well for minor mods on an '03.

It will be interesting to read what you guys think.

I did that on a 10.5 housing. I only ran 120.76 MPH on the 9.8 housing. I find it senseless to run the 9.8 when a 10.5 can be had for $250 and be installed in an hour or so. Nice run though.

We are not trying to compare ourselves to the best drivers, we just feel we are doing good for being non pro's.

Hey Curt Brown, your website says you have a "ported" 10.5 hotside. I know I'm a newbie, but where did you get it ported, and doesn't the IX come with a 10.5 hotside?

I agree! I will be switching to the 10.5/O2/Ported OEM Headers or just going to the 20g-9 for my next set-up. I am just about as far as I can get with this one. I wanted to run some race gas on this run to see if it would help out even with meth but the strip had a spill and I had to go to work a few hours after we got back 03:30AM. Maybe one more trip down there on the 9.8 hot side but I doubt it!

Jeremiah,

You matched my best 60ft of the night on a stocker, great job! I am glad that we were able to remove the limiter for you. It was a pain in the a$$ but well worth it in the end.

Stand by there are some mods in my very near future!!!

Thanks bro!!! It was nice to watch all of the crowds of people all around the three EVO's trying to figure out what the he!! we have that is making them run so well. All and all a great strip and nice people. They finally prepped it, last week was horrible.

I ported it myself, takes 20 minutes at most with a die grinder.
