Uhhh..excuse me for butting in, but...since BONE Stock IX's are trapping at an AVERAGE of 106-107mph at Sea Level, even at 2100Ft. I would think your Traps & ET's are WAY OFF!!

 

man I wanna take my evo 9 MR on the track next sunday and I dont know what I'm going to run I hope to do 13.5 or better than that I wanna use 100 octane

 

that was me running with jon last night. Both of us were trying to get into the 12's. our best race togther was 13.192 against a 13.153. We had the same mods (he did have an intake, i dont)but i have an viii not a ix. He traped 3mph higher than i did. This was also my first time at the track. I cant belive how fast the 9's are. I pulled him the first part of the track and he came back right at the last 100th of a sec.

 

Dude with a IX MR, you should be able to break Low 13s, Maybe 12s. My best time Stock was a 13.4. I have a GSR with SSL. Without this Weight, your MR should be able to do faster. There was a IX MR running last night also...his best time was 13.3 stock, the runs he was at last night were around 13.6...there was an STI only hitting low 14's...is that right?

 

Good to see the evo guys running in vegas. I will be coming up for the supercross race on the 6th of may and plan to run MM on the 5th. My car should run a little stronger then the 12.2 I have ran there the last 2 visits. Goal is 11.9 stock turbo, stock intercooler, ssl package. Looking forward to it.

 

I keep hearing everyone say that the 9's should break into the low 13's maybe even the high 12's. I wonder what i should be capable of, 3in TBE, Hallman pro rx boost controller on 21, 93 octane with a k&n filter. hoping for low low 13's or high 12's with my mods. Possible?

I am not posting this to be a jerk or start an argument.. but I just dont understand why the guys with IX'S arent hitting faster times.. my IX RS is completely stock and hit 12.8 in AZ of all places...

You should break 12s easy if you know how to launch. I made 13.16 on a Boost Controller Fuel pump upgrade. On 91 Octane! IX with SSL!

It's the driver...last night I saw some funny launches...STI with Vishnu Sticker took off with a sorry a$$ launch, then a 8 with a Sorry a$$ launch, then SRT-4s that don't even launch like 5 of them! They had Hondas Launching off the line better than them. it was funny...

you dont build boost with the the limiter on or off. You can get better 60 foot times with the limiter off but unless you feel confident with your launches now i wouldnt take it off. Just more chances for you to break something. imo


jon has those same mods in his ix and i am hearinf he ran 12.7 to give you an example. One of the new guys in town with the AMS has a ix with a flash and turbo back and went 12.9 that night. hope that helps

 

If he cant even launch now with the launch control, what makes you think he can do it without it? Are you just wanting to see him blow something major?

 

What kind of 60's are you guys getting w/ you limiter on? I'm gonna work on my launch some more before the next track day on the 31st. I know the car can do much better. I'm gonna try to limit lifting my foot off the gas when shifting. I know I lift it almost completely off, so RPMs drop considerably. Also I just installed the Buschur intake filter lastnight, but I doubt it would make a big difference in the times.
