First time out w/ IX

This was my first time at the track w/ my IX w/ssl. I'm posting my best run of the night. ( out of 5 )

60' -2.101
330' -5.751
1/8 -8.827
MPH -79.57
1000' -11.491
1/4 -13.738
MPH -100.46

Wish I had more practice time on launching. I've never tried launching it til tonight. Even when I slip it out from 5k, it'll bog when I'm completely off the clutch. Best 60' I got tonight was a 2.075 w/ a 13.83e.t. @ 99.71mph. Also this was at LVMS in Las Vegas. ( elevation of 2100ft )

let the clutch out slower so u build more boost off the line and not bog! =)

seems your shifting slowly cause, your low trap speed.

Work on the launches, if you practice on the street its easier to get power off the line cause you usually spin the tires. so you will have to slipping slower on the track.

And Shift faster! or put the pedal down harder! =)

A few of the runs I was slipping it out pretty slow, but was still doing 2.1/2.2 60'. And Running 14.00et's. I think I shift pretty fast, but I think I might be letting off the gas too much. Actually, I might be letting off the gas almost completely before stomping back on it.
I have to wait until 3/31 before I can try again on the track. Most of the EVOs out here ran 13.8s while stock. What kinda times do the EVOs run up in Seattle stock? And what's the elevation at that track. ( for reference ) I know alot of cars run crappier times here than they do elsewhere.

yea man.. we can definitely run together. Did you make it out tonight? I saw a red EVO running with Jon. Launching just beats my @$$! I was so hoping to break 2.0 60's. I just might take off the limiter before MM, and maybe even droping the exhaust from downpipe back. Might. I think Jon said he ran a 13.1 in his IX MR.

Thanks Synter. And as for the IX MR I think he has a MBC set at 20-21ish, intake, Espilur exhaust. I think that's it.

Work on that 60ft and your times will go down for sure, no worries though I had issues my first time too, but keep at it. Good job for your first time.

Thanks man! You too on your runs. And if no ones said it before, Thank you for keeping track of records. I find it somewhat valuable. It's a great database to refer to. Hopefully I could get into the 12.99 and lower soon.

Jon ran a 12.7 that night after you left. He raced Jesse and it was a good race. He was so happy to break in the 12's with a IX with basic mods and race gas.

Let Jon drive your car @MM at your car will be in the 12's....LOL

I think it was the wing being off also.

Slight slip then floor it....and don't let you're foot off the gas the whole time and you will be fine. The revs climb so slow on stock EVO anyway powershifting is a cinch...1st to 2nd can be a little tricky, but after that it is like butter.

I ran a 13.19 bone stock in a 05 on Advans at 24psi good luck.

I just did a 13.16 last night At Sac Raceway. I also have a IX with SSL (extra Weight for Nuthin). My 60' was 1.9 sumthing. I have a MBC set at 20 spikes to 22-24 depending on gear. And a Walbro Fuel Pump. That's bascially it. All Done on 91 **** Octane. I was gonna turn the boost up and try to break 12.9 but I didn't have a helmet so they wouldn't let me race (Didn't try to get back on the line either). I Think I will get a flash or tune before I go out again.
