New Fastest EVO IX in USA...
New Fastest EVO IX in USA...
Just spreading the word (from Precision Dyno Vendor Forum)-
"Hello all,
We got a chance to break in our 9 last night at the track. She ran pretty strong with a cold track last night in Atco NJ.
We will post a couple of dyno vids and track vids hopefully today. Last nights run should make it the fastest 9 out there right now I believe.
So at 22 psi she ran:
R/T .731
60' 1.882
330 4.947
1/8 7.384
MPH 102.29
1000 9.463
1/4 11.251
MPH 125.76
The launch was just mild. We are still experimenting on optimal clutch temps for the line. So with a good 60' she should run tens easily.
That should be this next week comming up.
The mods on this car are as follows:
PDT 2.3 stroker
PDT FMIC Kit
PDT GT35R Turbo Kit
Triple Carbon Clutch
880cc Injectors
PDT Alky injection
EcuTek Reflash
We will keep everyone updated on the progress.
We are shooting for keeping her on the stock MAF and reflash. She has alot more left in her so it should be interesting to see what kind of times she can get with just a flash for EMS."
Good job PDT, the EVO flash record of 10.9 is in jeopardy of being broken. I see 10s in the future for this car.

Well I posted in the drag racing portion because I felt it was a more appropriate place to post it and would recieve more attention for a great accomplishment. I know all about the 2nd repost and I have no idea why that person posted a repost of the original thread in same forum section. Also, people keep saying, with all those mods low 11s is nothing, I am wondering if people are really examining the time slip and the mods.
1st thing- This is a IX and people have been wondering how would a IX do with a larger turbo set up, so here you go.
2nd thing- Notice that this run was with a flash, not many EVOs period are running low 11s with just a flash, most utilize a stand alone ECU system. I've been at this website a long time and have read the many attempts that people have made to get as far as this EVO has with just a flash, so I know it is not easy. Why is it significant? Well it may, and say may be possible for IX owners to run extremely fast times without an expensive Stand Alone system, something unheard of from EVOs. Running high to mid 10s with a flash is just as much of an accomplishment as running 11s on pump gas and without cam/cams.
3rd thing- Notice the non aggressive launch, a 1.882 60ft isn't stellar in anybodies book, just a better 60ft and the record of 10.9 with a flash is in jeapordy.
4th thing- Notice that this was done on only 22PSI, even with a stroker the GT35R turbo likes a little more boost, and with a little more boost this car is in the 10s for sure.
I know it's a repost, but it quite obvious to me that it was posted here for more exposure and because of its possible significance. I don't go around reposting sh*t for the hell of up, I'm no newbie, so don't treat me like one.

I mean seriously you guys sometimes miss the significance of things, call me cheap but I'm always looking for avenues to save money and run just as fast safely. I mean this is the first IX in USA to run such times, so it's a little to early to jump to conclusions, but if more IXs start running more of these times with just a Flash, it will be absolutely amazing and very much significant, I mean just the thought of it, WOW. Sorry if people take this the wrong way, I am no IX elitist, I was amazed with the IX even before I bought an EVO and was looking to buy a VIII, but this would put the IX on a whole other stratosphere. But like I said it's still too early, so we will see.
Also this is a IX MR (and I believe the fastest time any MR has yet to run due to the 6-Speed)
