Prep for drag

OK, I'm going to the track on friday for the first of the season. Ran a crappy 8.9 with 2.1 60ft in the 1/8th last ime I went in november . I have practiced alot since then and feel I will do pretty good.
Anything I should do to prepare the car right before I race. Tire pressure? Filling a tank only half way or so? Any suggestions for me? Thank you!

- Be as empty as possible without running out of fuel
- Remove the spare tire/jack/tools
- Bring your helmet
- Bring a tire pressure gauge
- Leave your tires in the low 30s to start, but if you're spinning, then slowly lower the pressure each time until you stop spinning

Thank you, I dont know if I need a helmet or not. The rules for the track contradict on what times require a helmet. I will have to see if any of my friends have one since I dont yet. Once again thank you

GET A HELMET....you cant replace your head. After all, you can buy a Simpson helmet pretty cheap, besides just think how much is you life worth? I would guess at least the price of a helmet. BTW-Good luck hope you run well...

Yes, just go get a $100 Snell rated helmet at a motorcycle shop.

Aight one more question. Is it bad to remove too much weigt from the rear? I know less weight is good but with no spare, windshield fluid and anything else and all that weight in the front?
