First time with Bone Stock IX, with 600 miles.

Took my stock IX to the track today just to get an idea of what it can do.

Bone Stock IX GSR, nothing removed.
Gas: pump 93, ¼ tank
Weight: 3,348 with me in it.

First run: bogged of the line @ 4-4.5rpm
13.5@100.97
\/

2nd run: 5k rmp launch, and slipping the clutch, too much clutch slipping = clutch slipping all the way through 1st. = bad run.

3rd run: 5k rmp launch quick clutch release, clutch still slipping on and off through 1st gear
13.4@103mph
\/

4th run: 4.5k rpm launch, easy on the throttle= no clutch slipping.
13.3@102mph
\/

Conclusion:
>Clutch was not fully broken in @ 600 miles.

I think with a better 60', it would be in the 12's
I'm not too thrilled with that trap speed btw.

103 isn't too bad given the bad 60' and the fact you only have 600 miles. With a good launch and some more miles under your belt, I'm sure you can get 105-106.

your clutch is fine, u just need to practice launching
i took mine at the track with 600 miles on it, best 60' was a 1.78, and i was averaging 1.8 60'

ur trap speed is the same as mine as well, m best time stock was 13.1@102.7, my other runs were 13.2@103

ur car is just fine, just keep practicing.

good luck

ps: it looks to me u are slipping the clutch too long, the way i launch my car is full thorttle off the 5k limiter, slip the clutch and as soon as u feel the car move just release the clutch very quickly, that technic alway get me 1.8-1.7 60', with tires better suited for drag racing and more power, that launch techinic s good for 1.7-1.6 60'

they said you were being cocky for having a evo with 600miles on the track beating the **** out of it. there was no need for that they just were talking to you. since my friend is trying to be the fastest free mod evo.

Actually I think I glazed the clutch a bit on my 2nd pass, that’s why it didn’t hold my 3rd and 4th passes.
I haven’t driven a stock clutch for a while now, coming from a fully metallic unsprung to stock, is night and day deference.

Well, It sounds to me like I was more of a threat to him/them rather than cocky, I don’t see how they come to the assumption that I was a dick for bringing a 600 miles car to the track.
Anywho, Good luck to your friend.

WTF, If I see an Evo at the drag strip, I always make it a point to go over and say hello regardless how of "mean" they look.
