What’s wrong with my IX trap speeds?

I went to the track today, my average trap speed was mid 102, I remember reading few posts about bone stock 9’s trap around 105-106mph.

Can someone analyze my time slips? Is it my driving? My shift points?
I’m bone stock, on 93 pump gas, and nothing removed from the car.
Total weight of the car and me was 3,424lbs, I’m not sure how accurate was the scale today, because last time I was there it was 3,348lbs, nothing was added or taken out of the car from last time.

Best run:
R/T ------ .106
60'-------1.858
330------5.366
1/8-------8.328
mph-----82.93
1000----10.880
1/4------13.032
mph----102.77
=
Other runs:
R/T ------ .037
60'-------1.941
330------5.470
1/8-------8.475
mph-----81.71
1000----11.052
1/4------13.211
mph----102.61
===========
R/T ------ .463
60'-------1.942
330------5.503
1/8-------8.507
mph-----81.87
1000----11.084
1/4------13.243
mph----102.66
===========
R/T ------ .378
60'-------1.877
330------5.427
1/8-------8.421
mph-----81.96
1000----10.998
1/4------13.168
mph----101.94
===========
And last one:
Raised tire pressure 2 psi, and very little wheel spin of the line.
R/T ------ .362
60'-------1.947
330------5.524
1/8-------8.530
mph-----80.34
1000----11.109
1/4------13.274
mph----104.23

Your 1/8 speeds go from 82.93 down to 80.34. What are you reving to?Also 60ft could be better. Improve your 60 and your shifts and you will get a better trap and et. What rpm are you launching at?How are your shifting skills?

It's stock, I can't launch over 5k rpm. and 7k rpm shift
it's my first AWD car.
I don't hate anyone here, I'm new.

Hmm, I think yours is just a little underpowered. That's not a big deal. I've seen stock IXs vary from 244whp to 265whp on the same Dynojet the same day. Your 60's aren't terrible, but they could definitely improve. However, I do NOT agree that with better 60's you'd see better mph. Sometimes, with much improved 60's, we see less mph, because we have less time to accelerate. If you are shifting at 7k rpm, then you should be fine...not much to improve upon there.

Explain to me the last trap speed of 104mph. You said you raised the tire pressure 2psi and that there wasn't much tire spin. However, it was a pretty bad 60'. What was your previous tire pressure, and what was it after you raised it? If you didn't spin much (shouldn't be spinning anyway with those 60's and low rpm launch), then what did you do? Was it a bog?

Btw, if you want to launch higher than 5k rpm, just disconnect the switch. It's very simple, and we've been doing it since the 05s came out. Do an advanced search for the term 5000 in the thread topic, and you will find the write-up on how to do it. It's simple anyway...you just remove the little panel in front of your left knee, and reach in to disconnect the white switch behind the fuses.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Actually the 104 trap speed run was the only run that I spun the wheels, the rest I just bogged.
my best run (13.0) was the one I bogged the least, and it was also the first run to raise my tire pressure, from factory (32 front and 29 back) to 34-32.
On the 104 trap run I raised it another 2 psi to 36-34.

All other runs I was on 32-29 psi.

Nothing is wrong with your car, it's just fine best time of 13 flat and a high trap speed of 104mph is very good, nothing to complain about. If your truly bogging each run, then a bog can hurt your trap speed.

Now what is up with your last slip, low 80mph trap speed in 1/8 and you get your highest 1/4 trap of 104mph. WTF happend, did your car drink some gatorade for the second half of that run? Did you change shift techniques for the last run? Seriously if raising tire pressure to 36-34 really gives our cars a shot in the *** like it did for yours, I know what I'll be doing my next time out at the strip.

Just changing tire pressure alone doesn't change much, if anything. What matters is what your tires do on the launch. If you spin, you usually get a higher trap speed, but lower ET. With a bog, it usually hurts both ET and MPH. If you launch perfectly, it doesn't bog or spin and gives the best ET with a good mph.

I wouldn't worry much, it might be the shifting or something else, maybe the tire pressure. I wouldn't over stress.

That is what a Evo 9 would run in Tucson.

Stock Evo 9's down here in Florida also trap 102-103mph as well, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
