12.7 @ 107 :(
well, i finally got a chance to make it out to the track yesterday and only ran once becuase my car was literally running like ****, if it werent for the knock control on the aem, it seriously would have blown up...we downloaded the internal log after the run and was surprised at the conditions the run was made at....let me start off by saying that if i knew it was like that, i never would have ran it, so here it is to the stuff that was wrong w/ it...
first off, after installing the forge WGA, it has never been able to see over 17psi, then somehow, the timing map was changed drastically and was running 13 degrees of timing, and the worst part, it was hitting 4.7-.8 volts of KNOCK throughout the WHOLE RUN....this while being on a full tank of 93 oct....but for the problems it had, i thought it was still pretty damn good...i know when tuned right and the WGA actually being able to hold boost, i have no doubt in my mind that it will go high 11's on pump gas...here is a list of my mods so you guys can get an idea on how ****ty the run was
AEM EMS
AMS VSR intake mani w/ accufab 80mm TB
HKS 280's
RnR "Race" FMIC
B&B 3" TBE
ACT Clutch w/ street disc
Walbro 255
PTE 780cc injectors
Forge WGA w/ red spring
1G crushed BOV
it should go mid to low 11's on race gas, and i have an NX direct port setup that should put me in the 10's w/ the stock turbo, block, and head

Yeah, sucks it went crazy, but why would it do that if the AEM was setup properly?
As for the WGA, you need to tighten down the turnbuckle more. If it's tightened down all the way, then you may have to shave off part of the shaft like others of us have done. Forge will do it for you, or you can do it yourself.
Expecting to run high 11s "easily" on pump gas is a bit optimistic. Expecting to go from high 11s to low 11s with just race gas is even MORE optimistics. Then, expecting 10s with N20...well, worry about hitting 11.99 first then go from there. Have some respect for the track and those of us who have put down good times. It's not that easy to chop off half a second, much less nearly 2 full seconds.
Get that AEM working, get the boost back to 22psi on pump, then go rock out. Low 12s should be there for the taking.

wrx kila, i'm still on the stock turbo w/ the 10.5 hotside
and warrtalon, yeah, its just before i had the intake mani, and clutch in, i was hanging w/ stg 3 srt's on race gas while me on pump on the fly...which are mid 11 sec cars, thats where my guesses are coming from....and the n2o will be a hundred shot...which i think should be a one way ticket into the 10's

well, we're gonna back the boost and timing down quite a bit to make it "safe"

You have a beautiful factory gift... a TURBO. Use it. Screw the bottle. Stock turbo evos dip into low 11s and I THINK high 12s. No offense...but use what you got. Don't risk a motor for a single pass.
Despite Warrtalon's cristisms, keep us updated and good luck into the 11s, 10s. We all wish you the best!
Don't feel bad I just ran my car Friday and the one run I get good traction on my clutch crapped the bed. My previous run was a 12.6@116 with a 2.198 60". I am checking on the slave cylinder and such first, then I am ripping out the tranny to see if the clutch was destroyed. If it isn't while it is out I am just gonna send it to Shep anyway... My only happy thing about that 12.6 run was I did it on pump and 20psi.

thanks alot man, and i hear yah on the bottle stuff, but i think the turbo alone isnt enough at this moment and time, if i ever did like a 35R or something like that, than yeah, i wouldnt use the bottle, but on small turbo's and a small budget, you got to make it work one way or another
wow lots of mods to run that time... so after you added the intake manifold everything went to hell? i guess that and im sure the 80mm TB requires tune, who woulda thought!
you talk about a small budge needing the bottle, hell you have
AEM EMS
AMS VSR intake mani w/ accufab 80mm TB
HKS 280's
RnR "Race" FMIC
B&B 3" TBE
ACT Clutch w/ street disc
Walbro 255
PTE 780cc injectors
none of these parts seem to be the cheap way to go about things, doesnt seem like you have money issues to me lol... the clutch being the only cheaper way out instead of going with like a twin disk for over a grand.
anyways, get it tuned and run it again!! im sure with those mods you should be in the 11's no problem tuned.

lol...well when you start getting serious i.e. fully built engine, head, tranny, t-case, and turbo kit, things start getting real deep and real quick....there's only so much limit the CC's have lol, i know its not the smartest way to mod, but most of those were impulse buys anyways
if your dead set on nitrous then use the zex system with the unit that comes with it to make sure the correct amount of air and fuel are ratioed correctly so you dont go lean on boost when you hit that button. and i would only go with a 35-50 shot tops. it will spool you up real quick to.thats why a number of guys with big turbos go with no2, its mainley to spool up quickly and they only use a 35 shot or somewhere around there. its also a nice kick on the top end.not motor blowing insane but enough to put a smile on your face

thanks for looking out, but that's what the aem is for, you'd be surprised at how well it takes care of stuff, like the way i was wanting to set it up, is only spray in 3rd and 4th, so therefore, in first and second, the timing and boost will be how it should w/ race gas, then when i hit third, the aem will subract timing, and boost, while adding fuel, its a GREAT tuning device that i think everyone should have
Well, if the AEM is so good (I know it is, but humor me), then why did yours whack out and have nearly 5v of knock during this pass? I really think your eyes are bigger than your stomach, so to say.
As for the whole keeping up with Stg3 SRT-4s and how they run mid-11s...well...bench racing (and street racing) never equates to the drag strip. I can't say I've ever seen a stg3 SRT-4 run a mid-11. The 100 shot will be too much, too. If you are on a budget, then stick with a 35-50 shot so you don't have to rebuild the engine and/or head.
