Stock US Lancer time

Ran a 14.21 in the quarter. Best time I've gotten thus far. Best launch I've found for the US Lancer is around 3100 RPM.

14.21?!?!?!?!?

Somehow I find that hard to believe for an 02 ES with just an intake and exhaust.

Give me proof dude, and you have my sincere admiration.

Post your time slip if possible.

14 secs in totally possible with a turbo. Shaving that many seconds off of a 1/4 mile time is very though with just an intake and exhause let alone if its only a cat back.

Would post the timeslip if I had a scanner.

NO bullsh*t though.

To be honest, I hardly believed it myself, but, there is a drag strip about 10 miles away from my house, and I go there alot.

And, I should say, and this will further fuel your disbelief, I don't have to cold air yet. Only a K&N. What can I say, I just got skills. J.k. Seriously though, I don't come on the internet to lie, only to share.

I too find this very hard to believe. 14.2 out of a Lancer?!?! You'll have to be putting down more than 170 WHP to run a time like that in a 2600 lb car! I HIGHLY doubt your putting down more than 170 WHP horsepower let alone crank HP. Are you using funny gas on your car?

Better yet, come race me. If you can hang with me from dead stop up to the 1/4, I'll more than believe you.

I decided a long time ago he must have been running a 1/8 mile track...it's really the only way he's gonna hit 14's for a long time. he has no turbo and I dunno about the turbo kits for a lancer but I do know that even with one to hit low 14's like that from stock numbers he's gonna need alot my work then he has now.

I wonder what strip he ran the 14.2. Closest 1/4 track from Dallas/Fort Worth area is Ennis. And there's a 1/8 mile track in Kennedale. I'm thinking he ran at Kennedale which is a 1/8 mile track.

If it is 1/8 and you only ran 14.21 that’s slow. I ran my car at the 1/8 in savannah Ga. And turned times of 10.97, 10.95, 10.96, 10.97, 11.05 <-- First run of the night with RT of 1.313 I guess I was sleeping. Times are for an all Stock OZ with full tank of gas

I am not bragging at all just thought you guys would like to know what the OZ can do in the 1/8 if you want I can post all my time slips

How much HP are we talking about with the turbo kit? 100hp? So, if the stock Lancer puts out 120 crank HP with a 15% drivetrain loss of 18hp. That's 102WHP. Now add 80-100HP onto that...low 14's should be easily do-able. However, what are Lancer turbo kits putting down with stock internals? After all the moneys spent on a regular Lancer...Lancer EVO looks really good considering there's far more potential.

yeah

well modren image has a lancer with a rre turbo on it and it has 171whp at 5psi boost.they can get up to 7psi with no engine mods .with engine mods you can push 12psi .the stock lancer hp is 104.6whp 116lbs of torque.yeah evo has more potential a way better engine but it also has a higher ticket prices like $15000 more then a lancer oz ticket prices $16879.
