Still just an elaborate 11 second pos
Well I still somehow missed the stupid 10 second goal. I definately need to work on the tune and actually hit one good pass without screwing something up. Even with the MPH being alot lower than I wanted I still should have been able to hit the 10 second goal... my driving obviously still aint that good.
My best of the night was this:
Spun all the way through 1st and most of second on this run and the ignition started to breakup at the end.
60' - 1.844
330 - 4.836
1/8 - 7.293
MPH - 100.69
1000 - 9.383
1/4 - 11.139
MPH - 128.07
Another run was:
Crappy shift to second gear....
60' - 1.723
330 4.871
1/8 - 7.331
MPH - 100.31
1000 - 9.427
1/4 - 11.174
MPH - 128.99
Another junker:
Spun through 1st, slow shift to second....
60' - 1.826
330 5.079
1/8 - 7.552
MPH - 100.17
1000 - 9.646
1/4 - 11.396
MPH - 128.92
I think the gas might have not been doing so great either. All of these runs had a little bit of knock. I didnt drain the rest of the tank from its gas before adding the 110.... I thought it was low enough to work fine but I guess not... either that or the 110 I got was junk. First time I ever used this brand.
All of these runs were between 28-29 psi (Spiking at 32). I raised the boost about 1 psi near the end of the day but it didnt help at all... the ignition started to break up.
Oh well... I guess now I can get rid of all the boost leaks and try to figure out why the MPH was so bad. Until next time

Street tires.. I have footage of the runs hopefully. Trina was filming so I will post those up once I see if she got them
Thanks for the compliments... the runs really arent what I was hoping for I guess. The MPH just seems too low for that turbo at 29 psi. I know my driving wasn't up to snuff but yes, with more traction I could have been there. Im not mad about it just kinda disappointed
Ill try again after some more tuning and stuff and hopefully a little warmer of a day

Thanks
Im not gonna use Drag Radials. Ill try it out a few more times, work on the tune a little bit, shift better and hope for a warmer day. If I can get the 60's down to where they should be and hit a good set of shifts I think a 10.80 @ 132 should be able to be hit. After that Ill just swap the rims and put some slicks on it. Then Ill be shooting for 1.4-1.5s 60' times.

I am even more impressed now that i realize you are running a stock bottom end. I have been wondering what it would be like to not hit the rev limiter in 4th just after the 1,000 foot mark. A 7,750 rev limiter really kills the 35r party

The footage didnt look too bad... I am uploading it now here:

Too bad you cant really see how much the tires truly were spinning but oh well. You can hear my crappy second gear shifts on most of the runs loud as day. The only time I hit a good shift is when they broke loose 1st through half of second. I also like how stock the car looks from outside (Aside from the noise it makes... the camera didnt do this thing much justice... its a noisy car).
Definately nice to finally meet some of the locals!
And yes, 7,750 is not enough RPMs... Mine is all stock and I will hold it under load till around 8,200-8,500 and between shifts it hits 8.7-9k. Not that I am condoning this to anyone else but it is working for me so far. I think it would be plenty safe to hold it to 8k and set the limiter at 8,250-8,400 but who knows... maybe my motor is just a tough little guy
I guess I also didnt even bother to look at the top end power of the car... It only trapped at around 100 at the 1/8th and pretty much 129 at the 1/4. 29 MPH top end is pretty good when you start at 100 If I can get through the first half better with a 104 trap or so the end result should be another mph or two faster I would think. Maybe my tune isn't as bad as I thought. I really wish I had a built setup so I can see what 40psi does
