Angry track sucked yesterday!!

Ran horrible times yesterday, it was 95 degrees out and it was killing everyones times.

Im not even gona post the whole thing

1st run: 12.8@ 105 shifted too early from 3rd to 4th
2nd run: 12.7@107
3rd run: 12.6@ 107
last run 12.5@107

Funny that i was trapping 89.59 in the 8th almost 90 which i liked but my top end was very weak!! Something was up with the car last night, top end didnt feel right, i dont know if it was the heat, any suggestions??

It could have been the heat. Was there any wind? Post up the #'s on your best slip so we can at least see where you were losing time.

Also what kind of boost are you running?

I will post the slips later as i dont have them with me.. yes the heat was terrible, after 2 runs i parked the car and let it cool for about an 1 hour and ran again, my best time was the last run which was abotut 10pm and it was still humid out, yes there was some wind yesterday.. What pisses me off is that im almost at 90mph in the 8th but the top end sucks!! I was spiking 23.5 psi and holding 22-21 towards redline

Well if it was a headwind that could have made some difference. Also if you are running pump gas with the heat that high you could have been pulling timing up top with that much boost. Where did you shift at this time?

Judging by your almost same E.T. but 3mph slower trap it looks like you picked up somewhere. Maybe better 60's?

Yea the car felt sluggish up top, im assuming the heat bc after i left the track i ran a quick pass out side and the car ran like a champ, but then again it was like high 60s out so that helped... Actually the 60ft's sucked, i pulled 2 1.7's barely and 2 high 1.8's I was just having a bad track day.. I was shifting around 7300 this time

I know, the weather is getting terribly hot, its about 94-95 right now! I wont be running anymore for a while, at least till it cools down, by then i should have my cams, and clutch... Scott and i are gona data log my car tomorrow, i spoke to him today and he says the car might be switching between 2 ignition maps and told me he can get the car to run faster! I cant wait

Well, better luck next time. But yeah, I agree, I'd let the car chill for a while. You've been beatin' the hell out of it lately! Still good consistent times though, but the mph wasn't there.

I'm sure Scott will do wonders once he get workin' on it! Good luck!

I was at the track as well and it wasn't that bad. I was trapping 112-113mph all day.
