Best 60' Time

I cut my best 60' time of my life today, 1.45 60'.

It ended up being the best 1/8 mile run too. 7.51 @ 99.78 mph

I love being able to tune at the track with with ECUflash cable.

Boost was spiking to 28 lbs and dropping to 24 at redline.

I could have pushed it harder but dind't want to push my luck.

1.45 60' with stock clutch on fairly weak tires? Hard to believe...

The 1/8th ET of 7.51@100mph doesn't match a 1.45 60' either. Did you miss a shift or granny shift perhaps? My best 1/8th is a 7.63@90 on a 1.66 60', so that means with 10 less mph, I would have been running you down from behind after the 60'. That doesn't add up, so maybe the timers were off?

Some minor issues with second gear, The tires aren't bad when heated up (sticky enough to pickup everything on the return lane), It was done at Qualcom Down in Sandiego.

I've never heard of issues with there timers.

That is a crazy 60' on street tires. Not sure if Ive ever heard of that before. Hell most people with slick are only running 1.4's and 1.5's. Whats your best before that?

Forget the tires, what about the stock clutch? I highly, highly doubt it. pretty much any track has timer issues occasionaly. It doesn't matter if 99 times they are right, because 1 time they can be wrong. Strange 60' readings happen with decent regularity. I've experienced false 60's and false trap speeds at different times on different tracks that normally had 0 issues.

Btw, did you mean to say RT-615? I can't find a 165 anywhere. I have 615s and still spin with 140 less whp than you. They aren't really THAT sticky (slightly less than Advans), but I do like them as street tires.

Could be a leaf or something blew by the sensor... Ive heard of that before. Does seem kinda strange. I would think the 1/8th would have been lower than that with a 60 foot of that size.

Here is a good example:

60' - 1.862
330 - 5.079
1/8 - 7.552

Compare that to:

60' - 1.333
330 - 4.046
1/8 - 6.338

or:

60' - 1.719
330 - 4.854
1/8 - 7.325

You can see the staggering difference in the 1/8th ET by the 60' difference.

It is definately possible

I dont think slicks will do you much better though. The smaller tire will help but to get that kinda of a 60' time it means your not spinning much... probably about the perfect amount so I think slicks might even make it tougher because you might start bogging the launches. Congrats though man... I wish I could hit 60's that good.. my stupid tires wont hold it.

stock clutch and street tires running 1.45 is a little crazy, I dont know if that is accurate. the best drivers on street tires run 1.5's and with slicks 1.4's
