Disappointed in my times:

Well guys I took my 06 IX to the track last night and I thought I would be faster than I was. Here is what I ran:

R/T - .731
60' - 2.141
330 - 5.718
1/8 - 8.620
MPH - 83.96
1000 - 11.113
1/4 - 13.179
MPH - 109.46

Here are my mods:

BR TBE (Catless)
Hallman MBC running 24 psi
HKS Intake
AMS LICP
Mail in Tune from Dynoflash

I was hoping for a mid to high 12 sec run with these mods. What do you think is wrong, is it me or is it the car??

I'm no pro driver but your 60' should be closer to 1.80 or quicker. That alone would put you in a mid to high 12

Yep, 60 footers killed your time. And 24 psi - higher (100+) oct?

How were you launching?

I know my 60' sucked but I didn't think that would kill a 1/2 sec from my time. As far as my boost, do you think I should turn it down a little? I was just reving to about 4200 and popping the clutch, then I tried slipping the clutch and well I think I slipped it a little to much because the revs went up but the car didn't move...LOL
Need a new clutch now...

Your trap would equal to a mid 12 second pass just get your launch down and you are good to go. You have a nice trap though especially with your 60ft.

Cool, so that means it's just driver error and not the car. I just need to practice my launches a little.

Yes that would kill your time. I wouldnt run 24 psi unless I was on racing fuel. If you are on 93 oct I would only go to 21-22 psi.

You have a IX, like me you have a 5K limiter. At the line - get into the lights, stage, put your foot to the foor - the RPMs will bounce on the 5K, building 8-10 psi of boost. Take the slack out of the clutch, yellow, yellow, green - walk the clutch back quickly, then let go of it at the top of the throw.

I doubt you need a clutch - there is a restrictor valve in the factory line that causes the clutch to slip like that when you just try to drop it.

You definitely got mid 12 second trap times. I used to get 12.6 consistently with a 108mph trap, and a 1.8/1.9 60' on an 03 Evo.

Keep practicing and you'll get it

Yeah its your 60's for sure. A low-mid 12 is possible with a 108-109trap. First turn your boost down and then work on the launches. Last year I ran a 1.68 on one run and pulled a 12.3@108 and on another run pulled a 2.2 60' and ran a 13.1@109 so you can see how big a difference it makes.

Man that sucks, I have less than you and ran a 12.6 at 109, My 60 was 1.880 though. You need to work on that man. Also launch from about 5500 atleast and where are you shifting at?

24 PSI wow thats alot I run 19 MAX with my hallman and I think thats pushing it. Just work on launch man and clean shifts...good luck

Why are you only running 19psi? Thats less then stock and no where near pushing it. You can run 21-22psi with no problems on our gas.
