I know it was hot, but with race gas on a IX with all that money spent, I'd be one pissy guy if I only trapped 109. I'm guessing the 330whp/330wtq were done on a 50-degree day and also with pump gas? I say that, because 109.xx traps mean 300whp on a Dynojet (uncorrected).

Btw, join us in the drag racing forum from now on, and great job improving from your first to 3rd run by getting a 1.72 60'. That's very good, but the trap speeds are disappointing - your driving is not.

clutch is fine just might as well do it while i can.

as for the traps i think it has something to do with the boost controller. it is the apex avcr and it was in learn mode or whatever but i kept spiking 2.2 bar so i turned that off for the track and im still figuring it out. it was dyno at mynes in the middle of the day temp like 107 on pump then on race. pump hit 300 hp at 292 tq with ecuflash

I would wait on the clutch and spend money else where...maybe a fuel pump...

Hmm, wait on the clutch to get a fuel pump? No, he will need the clutch, but he doesn't need ATS. Unfortunately, Mynes probably talked him into one, though.

I would be happy with 109mph traps in an 8 with basic mods on race gas maybe. I remember doing 12.1s @ 111.xx in 95-degree weather with 80% humidity and a density altitude of 3300. The IX with all that money spent should be faster - maybe it will be when he figures out how to use the AVCR. Now that I look closely, that's nearly $4000 worth of mods...ouch.
