Scorke -your comment shows a lot of ignorance on your part.
lets face the facts guys this weekend is norwalk......in less than 24hrs either buschur or ams is GOING to go 8.XX its going to be who gets the car set up first, who get used to the track first, and who can drive it. both are making enough power to do it. someone is leaving there as the first US evo VIII in the 8's and the fastest evo VIII in the country.
Congrats David, as I voted for you guys to be fthe first into the 8's! Just impressive and when I heard from Als post that your existing drivetrain has like 20 or so drag passses with out breaking, I thought wow even more impressive. Great work and you have the evo world impressed, especialy me.
congrats david job well done.ive built a few evo's from parts from your shop my evo 2-3-4-and now my 8 and lots of gs-t's and gsx's never doubted the potential just takes time. AMS, waiting to see you push ahead its going to be great ive been treated great by both shops with parts and service and congratulate both shops for pushing the sport further and faster than ever. long live the 4g63 and may god curse turbo lag and bless awd!!!!!!

Weight is going to be a huge factor for a 7 second pass, of of now it isn't even in our sites, that is a VERY VERY LONG WAY OFF, if ever.
The car, while it is gutted, is still heavy compared to what it needs to be. We are right at 2700 pounds with my brother in it. That's about 600 pounds heavier than we'd like it to be
That's a lot of weight, money and work. Also one of the easiest ways to get the car a lot faster with less broken parts. I am considering selling this car and starting with a new one so we can actually lighten it properly right from the beginning. Same thought with our Time Attack car.
Our sights are set of 8.50's without nitrous or any type of alcohol. IF we can reach that goal I'd be pretty damn happy, even that is .40 seconds away and that, at this point, is a darn long way off.
