lets face the facts guys this weekend is norwalk......in less than 24hrs either buschur or ams is GOING to go 8.XX its going to be who gets the car set up first, who get used to the track first, and who can drive it. both are making enough power to do it. someone is leaving there as the first US evo VIII in the 8's and the fastest evo VIII in the country.

Mad props to Dave Buschur and his shop for getting to the 8's first. I never once doubted who would hold that title. Keep up the good work

I'd like everyone to know that I was the first to commit to the Buschur win.

To do that all they really need to do (if they want to take the fast way) is duplicate Shepards setup in an EVO body and add in a dash of insane driving skill Shepard ran 7.95 @ 182 in his AWD DSM on Sunday

Weight is going to be a huge factor for a 7 second pass, of of now it isn't even in our sites, that is a VERY VERY LONG WAY OFF, if ever.

The car, while it is gutted, is still heavy compared to what it needs to be. We are right at 2700 pounds with my brother in it. That's about 600 pounds heavier than we'd like it to be That's a lot of weight, money and work. Also one of the easiest ways to get the car a lot faster with less broken parts. I am considering selling this car and starting with a new one so we can actually lighten it properly right from the beginning. Same thought with our Time Attack car.

Our sights are set of 8.50's without nitrous or any type of alcohol. IF we can reach that goal I'd be pretty damn happy, even that is .40 seconds away and that, at this point, is a darn long way off.

I think the better question is after the season is over- how many evo's will be in the 8's?
