I am close. See my signature. I will try harder on my IX. I think my best 60' was 1.642 but not sure unless I find that time slip somewhere.

Just the factory launch control with raised rev limit for the time being. Anyone will tell you its a fine line between bogging and burning the clutch. Last night it was honestly easy to avoid either of those, it was harder keeping traction. The track was really greasy out of the hole.

If i'm not mistaken, Curt Brown was on a thread yesterday stating that he ran an 11.2 on stock turbo and clutch.

He's not running pumpgas if I am not mistaken. It was however already brought to my attention that there was an 11.8 out of the Big Valley camp in May. I have my goal set now.

You said "anybody beat that with stock turbo and stock clutch". But yeah, there are guys deep in the 11's

Incredible driving - great job. Traps seem weak for the mods on race gas, so maybe something's going on, but from the splits on the timeslip, that is amazing driving.

JohnBradley, your times are really good, too, but there should be plenty who have gone faster on the stock turbo/clutch. I personally went 12.22@110.7 on the stock clutch, but that was with a mix of 93/104, not straight pump. However, that was on an VIII with cat-back, mbc, safc, which is not comparable in power to what a IX can do with stg1 mods even on straight pump. Plenty have beaten what I did. too..

TTP went solid 11s on stock clutch, too, in a lesser VIII, but with race gas or alky.

There's really no reason for you to set a stock clutch goal, because it doesn't matter. The clutch will go out, and there's no use in trying to set records with it, because it's not a record anyone cares about - too many caveats (stock turbo, stock clutch, pump gas, blah blah). Remember that IXs are ridiculously faster than all of our VIIIs, mod-for-mod.

Thanks warralton, yeah the stock clutch doesnt mean much to me. I was just wondering about stock turbo on pump. Deffro I am sorry but I though that was obvious when I said straight 92. Its all good.

As far as mods and on racegas, we were trying to figure that one out last night as well. I ran a 12.21 on pump and week before last, Towelie ran a 12.20 on C16. It was alot hotter at portland when we ran, but still. I am sure its just a matter of running more boost (I ran 26 and towelie was up to 25) and more aggressive timing than we have run yet.

Best trap of the night was 113.61

Keep in mind I have a base flash, no tuning beyond that. Just added gas and turned up the boost a little. The combined octane was around ~96

Getting wideband soon and will be making a nice map for C16 with ecu flash. I have always been big on going the fastest you can with a minimal amount of mods.

Its actually spelled Hurrikain and its a play on Syclone and Typhoon. Its also known as the MIDGETflash, but its my baseflash that I have been doing.

Cliffs-Syclone=turbo AWD, I had 2WD s10 wif V8=Hurrikain. When I was 17, and as youths will, I imitated something else.
