1/4 mile tracks
`hey guys im going up to biron on the 16th with a few of my friends, uti, and the srt-4 crew of chicago and i was just wondering how that track is cuz one day i overheard some guy talking about some track in the area that rips evo transfer cases apart and well id like to know what tracks are good and what tracks are bad

Its usually quite sticky & goes slightly downhill (= fast ets). In April I did 2 runs when my car was almost stock, car bogged on the 1st. try & I got it right on the 2nd. try with no problems. Ive gotta go back & see what happens with my new set-up. I wont warm up my tires at though at Byron on my bike or in the Evo. Probably any track can rip up the transfer case with a bad launch. If I dont make it next weekend Ill try to come on the 16th.

That guy that you overheard could have been talking about Route66 in Joliet. Their track prep is very good....a very sticky track. It's a very nice track though. Nice racing complex all around. There is the 1/4 mile, Nascar oval, etc.
If you have time you should check it out sometime. The only bad thing is that they only have test n tune on like Tuesday and some Wednesday nights. They have a few weekends, but only in the earlier part of summer.
Remember for next year, since that track is pretty close to you.
