went back to track

went back to track, d/a around 2000, it was starting to rain so i had to hot lap the car as soon as i got there, i ran an 11.93 at 117.5 and an 11.89 at 117, 60 foots were a 1.65 and a 1.61, i keep the car in 4th gear and went thru the traps at 7,900rpm, the car was picking up 28 to 29mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4, mods are mbc at 20psi, cat delete, air filter and 75 shot of nitrous, the rest is all stock evo 9

Do you have any kind of tune? Nice times either way and good 60's!

Well, I guess it's alright, but people are running those times without nitrous, so it's not worthy of note. The fastest stock turbo IX went 10.9 with a 75 shot and basic bolt-ons, so you have some work to do. Would you rather continue to risk things with a 75 shot instead of just getting the proper mods, proper tuning, and a little race gas?

The launches are awesome, but I'm guessing you're not hitting the nitrous until later down the track, because your ETs do not match the mph for those 60s.

i never said my time were the best, just stating what i ran, ive seen much slower evos post up, this is only the second time the car has been to the track and the d/a was over 2000 again, also my race weight was 3500 pounds, i think i can get it down better with more practice, im just trying to see how fast i can go with no money in the car yet

Well in my opinion, I think your time is rather impressive, you've spent practically nothing and ran 11s. Good job!

"Not worthy?"

To you perhaps? If you are prejudiced against the use of N2O that's fine, but it's not your place to tell him his times don't mean jack. I think that's a very nice time for just having the bottle and his firist time out with the car at 3,500lbs.

N20 isn't any riskier than idiots who get their brand new cars and turn up the boost to 30psi on pump gas. It's obvious he knows what he's doing since he has used it previously. It can be just as safe as any other performance mod as long as it's tuned right.

/off the soap box.

Nice work man. Try and improve the 1/8th MPH and that will really bring down the ET.

How much does the boost increase when you hit the nitrous?

thanks guys for the compliments, the car has only been down the 1/4 a few times so im still working on the shifts, the nitrous dosnt really give it to much more boost, it might spike around 2 more psi and it holds about 1 more psi till redline, the car is around 20psi at 7k with the nitrous
