Yeah most likely you trapped at around 78mph with a 8.6 and a 1.9 60ft.

If the track at Perris has a crappy timing system than all i can do is use it as a test facility for future adjustments. Is it highly possible that the 60' times and et could be off also since the mph was off? It felt like i was getting out the hole pretty damn fast launching @ 5700 with a quick slip. I need to get to a 1/4 track to verify these things; only problem is fontana isnt open until oct 28; maybe i'll shoot over to LACR one of these weekends where their timing system is much more accurate. It would have been nice though if these mph numbers were true!

Yeah somehtings fishy. Its either your traps or your et's that are screwed but most likely it is both. Its just imporbable to trap at 90mph with such lousy et's and 60's. However, who knows you could have actually pulled some great times but we dont know that yet.

Sheesh, I run 7.30's @ 92mph at our local 1/8th mile track, so I hope their timing system is off or something.

yeah, i'd really like to go somewhere that has accurate times so i can verify my et's. This time out i'll try launching with the restrictor pill pulled and hopefully cut better 60's.

some people have noticed better 60's and some havent. So you may or may not see better 60's. However, you don hve to do any modding to cut better 60's at this point. All you have to do is lear how to launch thats it. Maybe mess with the tire pressures a little. But its realy simple just practice.

Thanks for the advice... Thats what i was gonna try next. On a few of my launches i did feel the tires spinning , so maybe i'll knock some tire pressure out to see if it helps. I weighed my stock wheels versus my 18's with 255/45/18 and there was a difference of 10lbs between the two = 40lbs total on all four corners. That 40lbs may knock off half a tenth but hooking up wise i think the rt-615 would work better than the Falken Ziex on the stockers.

What were your tire pressures when you ran? And are you kidding me? It will knock off far more than one tenth. Rotational mass weight is the most crucial weight to knock off. If you knocked off say 40# total rotational weight thats the equivlent to like 300#'s. You should see improvements of ...oh say around 2-3tenths at least as long as you hook up.

Im definitely gonna run the stockers this time. If your calculations are correct, than i should at least cut 8.4's with better launching and shifting. With my 18's i ran a tire pressure of 30psi but didn't make any adjustments that night. Im going out again this coming friday to check the results. Skilmatic, thanks for the positive advice, its greatly appreciated! I'll keep you posted.

Well if you have a non mr you should be getting around at least 8.3. If you have an mr then 8.4 will be your norm. However, we dont even know your mods what kind of evo you have so I cant really tell. unless maybe I missed that info?

Yes, I do have my timeslip. I have a stang though, but I will be happy to list my mods if you're really interested. In fact, just watch the video instead.

I'm going to be looking for something with 4 doors for the family that is completely streetable though so I'm here to learn more about the evo and make an informed decision next year. From the looks of things my goal of having a high 11 second grocery getter would be doable with the Evo platform.

I got a "error not found" on your link. However, I assumed you had a evo. So nvm. However, you can enlighten me how you did on your trap speeds and 60's. No0t to mention what are your mods btw?

Take a look at some of my times. This is about what you should be running at 90 mph. As you can see I have a good launch and shifted perfectly.
