Drag help

People have been telling me my car is running much slower than it should be.

I went to the track a few weeks ago and here's what I ran.

This was my second time going to the track ever. I'm definitely much happier with these numbers than I was with my stock numbers.

The first time I went I was running 13.8 @ 98 with 2.2-2.3 60's (bone stock)

my mods are in my sig with the time that I ran.

I know my launch has room to improove. my worry isn't on the et. i know i can improove that with better driving. my focus is more on my trap and why its so low

i figured i should be trapping around 112-113 but i guess not.

im on 21psi and my friend recomended i set my tire pressure to 20-21 all the way around since thats what he does.

anyhow if you have any ideas let me know please. thanks

btw this time was done with half a tank of 93 and my spare/jack still in the car

Are you logging at all? Have you checked for boost leaks? You are loosing power somewhere so Id check that first.

The track I run at is 2700 ft and your car gets power sucked up top big time. Could it be the track. The other thought is the boost is needing to be turned up a hair to get a couple more top end horses. Good luck and on pump gas thats pretty good.

Your 1/4 trap is low for your mods, but your 1/8th trap is extremely good though. Check for boost leaks if you haven't done so.

7.0-7.1

nope, not logging at all. i dont know anything about that so i leave it alone. and no haven't checked for leaks.

i've had a leak before though and it sounded really loud. if i have a leak now, its extremely tiny because i still hit 1.5 bar's of boost and hold a good 1.3 bars at redline

Like someone else said, your 1/8 mile trap is good, but seems your car slows down on the back 1/8.

Your 2 mph faster than me through the first 1/8, but you do have some more mods than I do. Could it be your shifting where your loosing mph in the 1/8? I'm not sure how the MR's gearing is, but do you go into 5th in the 1/4?

Thats a misconception that alot of people have when they look at their boost gauge. Just because you still hit 21-22psi and hold a good amount doesn't mean there aren't any leaks present, it just makes the turbo work harder to achieve the same boost levels in which you still lose performance.

Check for boost leaks asap!
