1/4 Mile Times....
I ran friday night at a local track...out of five runs the best one was 18.67 at 72 mph...Very SLOW
. I have an automatic and I ran 93 octane, so Im think it was a combonation of the two...any input or advice would be greatly appreciated
2002 Yellow oz manual, with throttle body , exhaust, race pipe, headers , lowered 1.8 in., short shifter, and short ram intake. on a 1/4 tank with 91 octane, I ran 3 times, and came out with 16.1, 16.3, and 16.41.

What was your 60' time?
"what do you mean? On the launch, I held the brake and had the engine revving"
that was I meant. Those are pretty much Lancer LS times.
Dude! Chillin.....why are you picking on the all the regular lancer owners just because you own a EVO?!?? I have see several post from you doing the same. That's uncool!!! Go and talk smack to our competitors not brothers.

Well, auto will always be .5 to 1.5 sec slower then a manual w/ the same mods. Did you held you revs a bit or not?

I havent had a chance to get back to the track to try some different launching techniques, but I noticed that everytime I ran I got faster, of course this was my first time to the track EVER. I meant I was holding the brake and gas to rev the engine up to about 3k while the lights were changing then when they went green I would just let off the brake and floor the gas. but I guess I need to try something different, maybe just try it from an idle I dont know...
