I finally have my launch down pretty well and have been running consistent 1.69-1.75 60's. Look at any of the runs on my YouTube site, especially the 12 second runs. My 2-step is set at 6000 and Im running the RRE "No Name" clutch and their flywheel.

The one from the kart place is the one with the dead link. I was just wondering if you had another mirror of it.

Oh, a buddy videod and posted it, so I don't actually have a copy. I dunno why the link doesn't work - I thought it was on Streetfire.

The link is to streetracing-syndicate.com, but that domain doesn't resolve for me.

Not a big deal if you don't have a copy, was just wondering. Thanks. =)

^ Thanks a bunch. I guess what I deduced from the video of Warr's race against the corvette was spot on.

I just need to practice, practice, practice. I keep letting the car roll too much and bog. Well practice makes perfect.

I spent time on here researching launch methods and watching videos like War's and mine from the track. You can sit and fret about it and second guess yourself about how to do it for quite a while. Once you get the feel for it, you'll wonder why you ever thought you couldn't get it in the first place.

launching

I have discovered the ebrake launching method by myself and thought i would swing by evom to see what you guys are thinking about it so far all negative remark but holy ****in **** what a difference there is, i'm hitting full boost before i launch, i haven't gotten to a track yet to see what kind of 60's i'll be getting but i was already getting hi 1.6 i felt a major difference using the ebrake.I'm tuned on e85 believe me or not i hit 30 psi on a 2 step set at 6k using the ebrake otherwise i only see like 10 psi. when i was using 93 oct i would only see like 8 psi tops e85 boosted it a little. as far as the 2 step. Oh the e85 rocks yall!

Building a ton of boost like that doesn't make you launch better. You can cut 1.6s without even using launch control. If you're building 30psi with the ebrake down, then you're just going to blow up your car.

I know I'm a newbie but i got a lot to say!

I didint say that i hit 30 psi with out using the ebrake. I said i hit 30 psi using the ebrake. so unless that is a typo i dont think 30 psi is achievable with a 2 step.

I'm not going to blow up my car and if i get better then a high 1.6 60 foot tommorow at import wars i will be back to say i told you so! If it is a total waist of time big deal just somthing different to try all i know is that if you do it right it will definately put you back in the seat!

For me the best method until now is 5900rpm 2-step and i release the clutcvh quickly, but not dropping it!

Before the stock clutch lets go i managed to get steady low 1.7s with 1.70 the best...

Now on the new tranny and clutch i haven't launched the car yet but i will start where i left... 5900rpm, quick clutch release... still have the restrictor pill on and i dont think i will remove it yet...

for sure i will try and preload the clutch on launch but without using the e-brake... i already started doing "tests" on the road but not on the 2-step!

blah

just got back form import wars

12.06@115.45 /1.65 60 foot..........it works trust me it works it is just a matter of not frying the clutch and doing it fast enough i know i can pull a better 60 using that method but just doing it faster and not messing up but i only did it 3 times i'm not good enough to do it on time yet. but otherwise i continued to do 1.69 and 1.70's I also need some better rubber then fusion HRI's!

I didint hit 11's ****!
