Not a bad run. Decent 60ft. Decent times all around. However, I dunno why you are only gaining 22mph down the second half especially on a turbo upgrade? Hell stock turbos gain more than that. Granted I have a 9 but my bone stock 9 ran 8.0-8.2 in the 1/8 with a trap of 83-85mph. I think your mods and possibly your tuning is whats causing your problem.

I think warrtalon trapped 115 at 12flat on far less mods than you have and he has a 05 mr.

So I would check and do some research and you will find your problem.

Something is happening up top, or he let off/hit the brakes early. You can tell, because he hits 90mph in the 1/8th with a weak 60', but then somehow has a 12.0 at less than 113. The only way you can hit a 12.0@112.xx on a 1.80 60' is if the car was going much faster down the back half then had something slow it down before the traps. Of course, that huge turbo kit (not sure why people choose to get some Apexi turbo when we have so many proven turbo kits) should pick up closer to 28mph in the back half, so there is probably a major problem at the top of 4th.

I looked at that too. My theory is maybe he short shifted first and went into 2nd before the 60ft?

Why do you have to shift into 5th? That would explain your poor trap speed. You shouldn't be anywhere near having to shift to 5th in an VIII 5spd. You should be revving to 8000rpm in 4th before you think about shifting. You do realize you have a HUGE turbo, right?

What is your tuning device? I don't see one listed...

My theory is he is not tuned correctly or he braked too early. Its too hard to tell over a keyboard.

Cem, on any day at the track, you could have easily put in some race gas, turned up the boost, and hit 114-115mph traps.

I know but I'm scared to turn up the boost before putting in some head studs. Marti at VIP will be putting in the arp head studs this coming week along with my afx wideband then I'll run some race gas and 27 psi with some confidence...

No need to be scared - we've been doing it on Evos for years.

I'm doing a 28psi spike w/o head studs. Have been doing it for a while now.

i have an apexi power fc.
i cant rev over 7400 and i think my tuning is a little off. I have a TRE transmission, and i think they changed some of the gearing in it.
I also spun in first.
