First tell your friend to buy my dc sports header for sale- second MR's can run 11.5 @118 in fourth gear- thats good enough to skim the line of not getting kicked out of the track for no roll cage! and the oem tranny will last just use OEM fluid

i would not buy a regular evo. my 6 speed is perfect and 3 of my buddys that dont have mr's blew there tranny's already and the t-cases. my 6 speed is so smooth and the mr is just an all around better car.there is no possible way it is slower. the shorter gears keep the rpms in the meat of the powerband. buying an evo isnt just all about speed. if u want just speed buy a honda and put a turbo the size of your head on it..mr's look awesome..i wouldnt trade it for anything.i got the same work as you.come race me.the mr is just a better biult car and mitsubishi took a little more time on them.(which they usually never do).everyone that i know or met with mr's never have the problems that the regular evo's get.

okay I got this misconception cleared out we can now stop talking about this but one thing i do have to say.. i called my boyz in the dirty jersey.. and they said there has been stock IX MR's cracking 12's so plz.. STFU.. EVO IX is capable of hitting 12's regardless of the trim.. NUFF SAID.. is all up to driving skillz..
MRevolutionRed.. I would love to check out your ride.. next month I'll be i n Jersey.. Elizabeth in Union county.. if you know.. I would also like to attend a meet..!

I love my MR,but i broke the 6 speed and t-case drag racing with maybe 400whp at the time. The EVO is an amazing car in any form, if you are going to mod your car, you have to be prepared for problems, breakage, etc.
thanks

I haven't had any problems with my 6-speed other then my clutch but that's normal for EVO's anyways.

The only part I would say about me not liking the MR, is people think the MR is FAR superior in the EVO clan. That just annoys me to death. If I wanted the MR, I could have gotten it, but I didn't.

meh i shoulda got the rs cause i dont care about stereo and **** but they're a lil harder to find and the mr is nice and i got a fairly good deal on it. if u rly only care about power get the rs. if u are just being a cheapass to save a few grand and are gonna add power doors, locks, and stereo to it (weight and what comes on the more expensive models) then just buy a gsr,mr

why hasn't this thread been locked moved away deleted..

Yeah am pretty sure most of the RS's out there buy a stereo and and speakers soon after they buy the car.. not only that some seek the wing.. and in some cases they also even seek the HIDs and POWER WINDOWS and locks.. so to say they bought an RS for weight savings as it is is purpose from the factory you are all pathetic seeking the mentioned above.. jst stick to GSR, SE and MR's.. nuff said..
