well i didnt realy ever use that but i met some people at the track that were using that and than i checked in their website and it was there so i used it. Also i dont understand how you can say it is a slow track but than say there is no correction factor.

I didn't say there's no correction factor - I said the one that is posted is only for N/A cars. Yes, the track seems slower on average, so it's LIKELY that you'll run better at a track closer to sea level, but you can't go using random numbers to calculate your times then post 'em online like they are legit. You can only post what your timeslip says - nothing else. If and when you run a 12.99@103.xx at another track, then post it. What I'm saying is that altitude definitely has an effect, but it's only half as much on turbo cars as on N/A cars. I have dyno numbers at sea level and 6000' a few months apart with the same setup, and many, many timeslips from both sea level and 6000'. I've proven that we don't lose nearly as much power, and I do not correct my numbers for altitude.

Yes the correction factor is for N/A cars only at LACR, not turbo cars. I agree with Warr, you can't say you ran 12's at LACR unless you really did do it. I actually ran my best time at LACR two weeks ago on 91 octane and water injection and pulled off a 12.99 @ 103.90 with a 1.71 sixty foot. I finally broke into the 12's at that fricken track.

Well good luck on your next time out. I don't have any doubt that you'll hit a 12 out with what you have done with some good driving. The stock IX's I've been seeing out at LACR have been running in the 13.70-14.00 range. I'll probably be there on the 16th for some more racing.

well the first time i ever ran my car at a drag strip was at lacr i ran a 13.9 and that was when i had my car for about a month and a half and launching at 5000rpm so with the tune and 6000rpm launch i got .5 seconds faster, hopefuly i could hit 12z because when i ran a 13.4 my shifts to 3rd where slow because i kept ****ing up so i was taking it easy on third im a lot better at it now so hopefulyyy i could hit a 12.9 at a different track.. i am also going to remove my pill ristrictor today and i am putting a new map in there with a little higher boost.

Well, California Speedway in Fontana is the only 1/4 mile track that is somewhat local in L.A. and yes it sucks that you have to be there so early or you will turned away because they will sell out. Otherwise LACR is the only other one. I drive up to Famoso in Bakersfield once in a while, but that's about 110 miles north of us. Banning will be opening hopefully next year. That will be a top notch dragstrip, but will also be about 100 miles from L.A. It sucks that in a place like L.A where drag racing really began, our dragstrips are being all shut down.

My first pass at LACR bone stock was 13.6@100. I'm convinced the track is going uphill or something, because its awefully slow, even with altitude factored in..

And as far as sealevel to LACR, a car that ran 12.54@LACR went 11.99 at Pomona. food for thought.

That track is terrible. All three of my friends that run there are a minimum of a half second off from what they should be running. I had this little rule not to go there because I know the results would just depress me.
