Congrats. I have heard some blocks are of poorer cast finish quality than others from the factory. This requires some cleaning up before assembly and they recieve slightly larger pistons. Anyone else think there is some truth to this? Sorry for veering a little ot but the thought is relevant

Yeah I agree. I like my setup and the only people Ive lost to have had high dollar setups costing much much than me. You should see some of the guys Ive raced and beaten around here. Their face turns white when they find out I have stock turbo.

Im so mad I didnt have someone with a video camera taping today. I pretty much knew Id hit 117 today but I just didnt think of taping it. Everyone around here was saying last night they think I could run 118 and I shrugged them off. I am damn impressed with the car to say the least. Its incredibly fun to drive, spool is instaneous. At this point, I dont even want an upgraded turbo unless it was a 2.3+GT35R. I think my car with methanol injection will be wild.

Haha my driving is fine. I spun a lot off the line. The one run I used the launch control (6100rpm) I smoked all 4 wheels hard and went my only 12 second run. THe other 3 runs I did the old-school launch and revved to 5000 and slipped it quickly. I got a little wheelspin and took off nicely.

BTW, I shifted at 7500 every gear.

I just wish we could figure out what magic was giving you so much power. Yeah, you have a good combo of mods with great tuning, but it's just hard to explain that much power on pump gas. It's amazing.
What magic indeed ! The power of a good tune and a determined car hobiest !

Congrats! I was hoping my 117.24 would stand for a little while on 93 only, but I'm glad you did it as it just further backs my trap speed up. When I went that fast people were saying that I was spraying . That is one sick puppy you got there! Good job!

Yeah I believed you. I knew you were the guy to beat too

I remember people were cutting on your for going 27 or 28mph in the back half, and Im thinking to myself, whats the big deal? I did it too. In fact I went 29mph (28.6) on one run!

My shifting is very fast. I am lifting to shift though. If I launched any harder it would just spin. Again as I mentioned, I was running 34psi/32psi front rear, which is a lot. Mike1023 I just read was running 15psi in his for his 11.2 run. I think with some better traction, I can hit 11.60s.

Id like to. As I said in the first post, I was going to throw in 2 gallons of C12 or something and crank the boost up a little, hit 120mph but I just thought Id do it another time. If Al would like to tune me for free with a race gas map I'd glady to a straight C16 map and hit 121 or so.
