118mph - STOCK TURBO & PUMP GAS!

Well, I finally did it today. After much anticpation, I surpassed my goal of 117mph trap speed on straight 93 octane. I hit 118mph the first run out!

Mods - full bolt on, hks 272s, ACT clutch, custom dynoflash tune. Stock turbo, block, head, TB, intake manifold, yada.

The car is full weight 05 SSL. Only weight reduction is no spare, no wing and mini battery. I had 1/4 tank of gas. I estimate the car is about 3350 with me in it. Im 160lbs.

Boost was at 23-24psi for all runs and spiking 25 in 4th. I had some street runs I wish I could post here from last night but thats not allowed

The temp was 45-50. The timeslips werent giving it out. My 60' kinda sucked. I went 11.9 with a 1.8! The car can go 11.60s I think with a 1.6. I stupidly had 34psi in the front tires, 32psi in the back. Good for gas mileage though.

Note: Just saw Mike1023's runs. Dynoflash is having a good week!

118mph is unbelievable! Your 378whp had already been proven with your previous 117mph traps, but now you're hitting higher traps than your dyno numbers indicate, and the dyno numbers were already inexplicably high. I just wish we could figure out what magic was giving you so much power. Yeah, you have a good combo of mods with great tuning, but it's just hard to explain that much power on pump gas. It's amazing.

Thanks! The only thing Ive added since last time is the custom dump tube. Add that with 30 degress cooler weather and 1psi more boost and wallah.

I thikn 118mph is record for straight pump gas, stock turbo no?

Yeah I took out a 460whp Cobra than ran 119mph last night too from a 50roll. Unfortuneately, didnt have it on video, and I have a vid coming of me vs a 415awhp (DynoDynamics) GT35R STi. :-)

Some cars are just randomly fast for some inexplicable reason.

Great times, trapping at 118mph is incredible on pump gas with stock turbo. Would you mind listing all of your mods? Any links to those videos on streetfire?

i rather have a setup like yours because in this world...when you have a upgraded turbo...people look down on you and give excuses that you beat him because you have a upgraded turbo...especially the honda guys here that are boosting 290-440hp to the wheels...these guys are thick headed and think they deserve a handicap as you will(i.e.we have all wheel drive turbo)...still their turbo charged running 60 trims and gt30s...i mean i take them from a dig but from a roll they pull me...man but if your setup is stock appearing then their shocked because you beat them in a stock basic bolt on car!!!

Allthough I'm not a dragracer ... way to go.

It goes to show what good driving and a well
tuned stock turboed Evo can do.

A lot of times these powerful cars are exceptionally resistant to knock for whatever reason, so they can push the threshold on pump gas more easily and safely. If I recall correctly he has every mod that can be done on the stock turbo as well. Nevertheless, this mph is absolutely astounding.

Well, in this case, there was no driving involved as noted by the ETs, but the car is just extremely powerful.

While I see what you mean on the driving, it's better than I can do.
