evo 9 vs 02 subaru sti

I ve got a friend with a subaru that i compete with... and i always beat him... having the same kind of mods...
now... something changed!
he has put:
forged pistons
forged rods
injectors
kit f.m.intercooler
kit turbo gt30

Do i stand a chance with my 9 and oem turbo...???

At 24 psi you should be able to run 12.2-12.4 easly in the 1/4 mile, plus you have got a clutch and some nice mods shouldn't be a prob.
How much are you making @ the wheels

You will get him, from a roll that is. He can't get much over 400 crank hp.

A stock STi recently ran 12.98 so I would say the 12.7 from a GT35R was either a really bad tune or a really bad driver.

A nicely tuned gt30r on a build 02 STi engine will have no problem getting to 400whp, it would probably max out safely around 450.

This link is to a forum about a similar WRX. It has a good video on that setup racing a Cobra TT.

No bench racing (or street racing) - take it to a legal track and run a 1/4.

There are tons of STi's in the low 12's and high 11's. Check out a WRX forum and you will see.

I understand the need to rip Subies since this is an EVO forum, I get that...but it is still a very fast and competent car.
