Top 15 Fastest/Quickest Evo's for 2007!
As of right now the top # 1 spots on each list shops have shown no interest in a trophy- so there will not be a trophy sent out to either if the #1 spots stand. I hate to take it personally, but when you create a list that gets so much support and makes so many people excited, along with all the work and time I put into it- it's hard not to... Not to mention it's is THE ONLY list like it around that actually awards the quickest AND fastest evo of the year- I know if I owned or drove the number 1 car I'd sure as hell want a trophy telling me I was number 1.
As many of you may know- next year (coming up REALLY fast)- the list will no longer be hosted here on EvoM, but will be it's own website entirely. www.fastestevos.com is the domain. I purchased it a while back and need to start development.
It will be 100% driven and updated by you guys with areas to upload video, pics, and timeslips. I will be moderating it heavily with the help of two others- so no bogus entries will be allowed.
Moving the list to it's own site will allow us for more flexibility, freedom, and MORE lists. I have 5 planned thus far- including top 60ft time, 1/8th mile time, and different turbo lists- so more people will be able to place.

This list is great.. Its a real motivator when you know where you stand compared to the rest of the country.. good luck with the new site.. If you stay on top of it and promote it well you should do fine..
lol do you know who you're talking to here?
- I'm the Don King of the int0rweb. I've been doin this for 12 years now and own over 110 domains. this will be fun
The list will be better- more interactive and even more exciting than before! The fact that it will be user driven is the big part. You guys can update it from the track!

I clicked the link but see it re-directed, the other site isn't up and running yet, right?
Have you ever went and looked at this site www.dsmtimes.org ? Another good site with a lot of times, been around for a very very long time.

Yes, the site isn't finished yet, but I've got some time - seeing as the fastest guys here will be snowed in for a few months
Yeah I've been talking with some of the guys at DSMtimes - they have a good model, but mine will be way different and easier lol- they have a lot to deal with there.
Mine will be JUST focused on the evo models 8-10 for this year, in America and Puerto Rico. I think as the years and even months go by it's even more important to make sure these lists are made for the year- as it builds the motivation for the next year.
I know if I was a guy who just built my car up and I ran the fastest time of the year- I'd want to be on top of a list- and not 4th or 5th all time to some guy/shop that ran a certain FAST time 3 years ago but hasn't done much since.
Thoughts?

I would recommend doing yearly lists and an all time fastest list. Better yet, set it up so the user can sort it by turbo, N2O, stock block, slicks/radials, or other key mods by clicking a column heading or picking it from a drop down box or something of that nature.

I agree 100% with what you say and are trying to do, but the All-time record holder shouldn't be erased either, but I just registered to the site and hope to be on a list soon enough!
I'm not sure I agree David... You even said this yourself- if you're fast you're fast- it doesn't matter. You said that a page or two ago when someone inquired about the weights of the cars on the list.
So then- if we did one list for overall, then one for NOS, then one for all boost, and then one for a certain weight, and then one for other power adders (meth, etc, and then one for tires, and then one for turbos, and then one for track elevations and temperatures, and then one for shop cars, and one for non-shop cars, and then one for engine builds, and then one for fuels, and then one for air:air IC's and one for air:water IC's, etc.... See where I'm going?
I do plan on making a variety of lists. But that is yet to be determined. NOS and no nos might be one, but weight might be another. Don't know yet.
