I had four passes that day. My fastest trap speed was 108.977@13.613 and 108.639@13.058. My two slowest times were 106.967@13.414 and 106.323@13.173. My two slowest runs had ran 100 octane. The fastest speeds were on 91 octane. I thought the gas would run better with higher octane but didn't.

The HKS SSQ was a gift. Why do you think it is a bad choice and what should I run beside a Tial BOV. I hear that is the best for high boost. Why is that so hard to believe that I ran that at Sac. I have the time slips. I wouldn't mind going to Infenion and running. When is the next drag scheduled for at Infenion.

I swear man I took my cousin down there with me filled up in Reno, NV; drove down to SAC and raced on about a 1/4 tank of 91 oct. After my first to runs I thought it would run better on higher octane but nothing better. I have the timeslips to prove what I ran.
My Fastest time that day at Sac Raceway.
Reaction: .496
60 ft: 2.083
1/4: 12.68
MPH: 112.85
I use to trap 1.7 -1.8 60 fts but for some reason I couldn't do it that day. Maybe becuz I only had less than 3 hours of sleep that day...hahaha...

higher octane barely makes a difference unless your running higher boost and i mean barely...
a car making say 350whp on 93 will probly make 390 on race gas going from 21 pounds to 28... just an example.. not actual numbers
cheers!

i notice that also at the track that the other Evo's and subu's were not launching very well I even had problems that day but two runs turned out great. Does i MBC make that big of a difference on a stock Evo or MR?
Well, stock Evos just aren't that fast no matter what, and your times don't reflect the fact that you were going that fast. Like I said earlier, if you trap 108+, it's a definite 12 no matter what you do unless your 60' is a 2.4 or something. Yours was a weak, but decent 1.83, so it should have been a mid 12 easily. I mentioned earlier that I ran a 12.30 @ 107.99 with a 1.72 60'. Think about that for a second. Also, we've had a lot of weird results from people at Sac that don't make sense plus another guy from the area who said that Sac times are not valid. Head to Infineon and see if you still trap 108 while stock.
Race gas is useless on a stock Evo. Race gas doesn't just randomly make you faster. It allows you to run more boost than on 91oct, but if you don't have a boost contoller or a way to retune, then it's a waste of money. Yes, of course an MBC is useful on an MR.
If you don't know why the HKS SSQV is bad for the Evo after the million threads on here explaining it, then you're beyond hope at this point.
