12.1@112

Went back to the track tonight with a test pipe installed and everything else the same. Billet Design flash, boost controller, no air filter mod and new test pipe. Didnt realize the boost was low till I left the track, only on 22psi.
First pass bog 12.4@112
Second pass 1.69 60' 12.10@112
Third pass 1.75' 60' 12.1@110 Experimented with shifting to 5th
Fourth pass 1.9crap 60' and 12.3@113

So I ran a new best 60', ET, and a new best mph. Seem's like the lower in the rpm's I shift the faster it goes. This is still on stock clutch and stock exhaust with the exception of the test pipe. Pump gas and a measely 22psi. Hopefully the downpipe comes in monday so I can throw it on and up the boost to 26ish psi, Im itching for 11's.

Video coming soon...

I could log it but I dont think the ecu will pull timing on a 24-25 spike. The boost spikes and drops so fast I dont think it would even detonate, but I dont have much knowledge or experience with tuning an evo so I will play it by ear. It never hurts to throw in a couple gallons of 100-103 to ward of knock.

People always try to say "oh, it's only a spike," but that's what we're always referring to when we give our boost numbers. Everyone's boost spikes then falls, so when we say we run 22psi, we are referring to a 22psi spike that falls. Therefore, running 26psi is ridiculous. Not to mention that you don't even spike at the drag strip - you only see the post-spike boost, because you're never below 5500rpm, which is a full 2000rpm AFTER your peak boost. If you are seeing 22psi on the drag strip right now, then your boost is already set to 24psi or higher. When I would run my 12.0s on 24psi, I never saw anywhere close to 24psi on the track - 24psi was my max on the STREET at peak boost (3500-3700rpm).

I didnt look at the boost at the track but rolled in it today at 5000rpm and it was 21, so Im saying that it never went above 22 or so on the track.

I would "play by ear" to hear if the car is knocking, if that's what you are refering to. I datalogged with evo scan and it showed 4 counts of knocks in the 5500rmp range while there's no audiable (sp?) knock. When you hear the knock, it's too late.

But great trap speed nonetheless with a stock dp and pump gas. Not sure if you have a aftermarket catback.

Im well aware of the knock sensor being more sensitive and picking up detonation than I can hear it, I will most likely throw in a couple gallons of good gas. Yes stock catback!

Nice times. But we are even now in 1/4 mile lol same boost and same mods besides that I have a cat back compared to you.
Sucks that only got one run or else I think I would've gone 11's with a 1.7 60'
