Your chasing a record of a Evo 8 with Evo 9 Turbo, basic intake and exhaust mods.. completely different from the evo 8 stock turbo.. hope you understand that.

Now that is some good times.. and a great achivement.. but it can be done if not better.. so dnt state something that is not 100% true.. and of course your using race gas duh.. its no brainer guys.. on another point.. you guys benefit on your atmospheric conditions.. is not an excuse but yes something to account for in tunning and how the cars run.

When I was in Hawaii and had a track.. ppl coming from Cali ran .3-.7 slower in Hawaii then what they did in the mainland.. its just an example.. now when i was in NJ my hometown.. my friend from PR had his Evo tuned in PR ran low 12's in PR with his current set up on his 8..He came back and we went to ATCO and he ran .3-.6 slower.. boy was he pissed.. yelling "Carajo, maldita Puneta" etc etc.. so we log his car and his A/F was diff from what it was in PR. Again another example that atmospheric condition inflict how cars run in especific Turbo Charged cars.. you may never know.. a evo could be running high 10'2 with your set up.. ie: Phillipines, autralia, UAE.. get the point..

Now why is breaking a record so important.. dnt confuse pride by being boastful<-- meaning being a showoff.. PR know how to tune regardless.. but are not superior when it comes to the evo platform. Maybe with the STi cuz its tracj pruven but i dnt know.. with david, Al and AMS picking up on them.. things might get interesting but anyways these are not track cars.. for us to be racing on who is the quickest..

The fastest EVO8 full bodied is from guess? a Puertorican, Mr. Procco, but regardless of that, I wouln't like for this to become a war of race/etnics backgrounds, sharing our experiences and goals should be more important.

I would not consider and advantage having hi 90's temperatures almost all year around, and we have had super fast EVO's from the USA come to PR a do worst than back in mainland so I would not use your experience as an standard, we do have higher temperatures and humidity, it is just a fact.

Can you say THIN AIR? Dude if you have never stayed more than 2 days in this Island dont come saying that we benefit from our climate, because that is some serious bull****. Ask Al Friedman or Mark from Turbotrix when they came here the cars simply will not generate as much power as in the states, with exactly the same mods, why? With hot climate the air is THIN and the volume the turbo can put in at 23 psi THERE is not the same as HERE. Anyways boost is free just give a few clicks to your boost controller and use whatever gas you want to, but please learn some geographical facts first then give me a climate lesson, please.

Forget what Jose stated as PR does it better, Norman is the fastest with those mods and its not a stock turbo EVO 8. But no matter, its a frieking 11.44 with a damned EVO 9 turbo, regardless it was a kick *** ride. And they will keep working to improve those times, you'll see.

You guys are taking his comment to personal, he is just having some pride from where he is from, nothing wrong with that. I always say Southern Cali does it better when it comes to a lot of things, just not drag racing .

Thats why I said NO offense.
I also gave credit on the pass. If he didn't want flack for it them he shouldn't have posted it. (or at least NOT IN CAPITOL FONT)
Its not a big deal, Just adding 2 cents worth that shouldn't be taken out of context either.

I said I was not taking it as an excuse.. learn how to "comprehend" dnt just read and move along. My point was that its evident that location is influent on how cars run. Just cuz your in a island it doesn't mean your burning the whole time.. I've been there more than 2 days buddy.. and at times it was nice and cool.. perfect for a pass a thing that i say none of you would let the opportunity go by.. and like I said b4 is not an excuse, If it were.. I throw in sea level factors in there.. you guys can tune and its pruven.. that is it.. am just saying it how it is..

If turbotrix or AL ran slower.. and you acknowledge that then that proves my point to you my friend. Maybe if they adjusted and fine tuned themselves just like you guys are for that location then maybe then, they could put themselves back to the times they ran where they come from and why not even beat there PB down there.. and run faster..

Nice trip down the strip but nothing to be that boastful about. Heck look at my times in my Sig and that was on street tires, with the stock 9.8 hot-side. Your car is definitely not a stock car. The EVO IX turbo and slicks are in a different league than my 9.8 HS turbo and street tread.

Because of the true stock EVO VIII turbo, I was only able to gain 24mph on the back half of the 1/4 mile on both (pump and race) gas.

Again nice run though!!

OK,a member of the forums runs 11.22 on stock turbo with similar mods as you almost breaking into 10s..

Big Al runs his evo 8 with full interior at 9 secs...
